Urban/Tebow Florida is very different from Florida...

So, Saban is a better coach than Miles? I don't think anyone is arguing the contrary at this point.

I think 2 of those are urban teams and one is muschamp.

It is interesting. Bama has played an average of 2.47 top 10 opponents annually since Saban arrived. LSU has played an average of 2.86 top 10 opponents under Miles. Not much of a difference, really.

15-15 is still an amazing record against top ten competition. You can't compare every boxer to Muhammed Ali.

That's far from the only observation one could make.
I'm wondering what schools have faced more top ten teams since 2005.
Also, odd how few road top ten opponents Bama has faced under Saban. Just happened that way, I guess.
ESPN did say no else comes close to matching Saban as regards to wins vs top 10 teams.

Even at that, Urban was only 3-3 against Les. People are still hung up on LSU's record against TOBC which was an atrocious 1-11. The Tigers lead the Gators excluding the Spurrier era, 26-20-3. Spurrier ain't coming back folks and neither is Curly Hallman. LSU has been a better program than Florida in recent years and that won't change anytime soon.

Assuming your math is correct, excellent point.

Miles is the best coach in LSU history, his numbers prove it.

Another interesting stat from ESPN:
Alabama has faced 25 teams off a bye week since 2007. The next most in the country is 15. The next most in the SEC is 10. Alabama is 19-6 in those games.

It should also be noted that 3 of the 6 losses for Saban were to Miles and of course several of the Miles losses were to Saban. Needless to say, Les has a nice winning record against top 10 foes not names 'Bama. Two great programs.

Never safe to assume.
I just took Saban's 21 games and divided by 8.5 seasons. Took Miles' 30 games and 11.5 seasons, which is not accurate. Miles has been there 10.5 seasons making his average per season 2.85. Still less than 1/2 game per year difference in their records. (corrected my OP)
The difference in their average # of top 10 per year is almost completely their head to head. In 2008, 2013, and 2014 Bama was a top 10 team during the game and LSU was not.

And people wonder why Bama fans laugh when they say we get the easiest schedules.
I also wonder how many of those top ten games LSU had played, where Bama was a top ten team.
