When we lose to Auburn

1. The radio call in shows will be insane
2. This board will be insane
3. The SECr will be unbearable
4. Bert won't be fired
5. We'll keep improving
6. Life will go on
Auburn may not be playing their best, but they're improving as the season progresses. They're more talented than we are and have more depth.
They should win. We're still a year or two away from seeing real results from what Bert is building.

I expect a close game decided by 1 score - could go either way. If we play well and just get outplayed that's one thing. If we lose due to a handful of preventable failures that's another.

i think you're a doll and i do appreciate your positivity but that team from last night should not win, no no no. we should have 40 points before halftime.

been that way all season.
after his first season, it was mentioned several times his rebuild job was at least a 4 or 5 year project. so he gets that amount of time for his work to bear fruit

The real question is: Will he eat the fruit before we get a chance to appreciate it?
Ya know, Bert is fat and all.

I don't want to lose, but fact is their roster is much more talented and deep than ours. Gus walked into a stocked cupboard of his players. They have no excuse to lose to us...

Looking forward to the fakes on special teams.

injuries suck the life out of a team

go ask the auburn fans what they think of thier D line. they will tell you they haven't recruited but 2 studs. 1 is a frosh. the other can't stay healthy. they will tell you they only signed 16 players in the 2012 class and have had petrino like attrition

Is this a reverse jinx? Auburn barely beat Kentucky last night. Kentucky is a Sun Belt team who needed a 4th quarter miracle and overtime to beat FCS Eastern Kentucky. They're terrible.

I agree with everything you posted.

I don't see us losing to Auburn.

I think we beat Auburn, the week off should help tremendously.

That's why they play the game.
Talent doesn't always equal wins.

Eh their front 7 is still garbage. If our OL continues to improve like it has the past few weeks I think we should win. We were able to run on Tennessee and A&M, who both have way better front 7s than Auburn

I understand the general sentiment of your post, but this is the most disconcerting part of it:
To me, that's just unacceptable. This is year 3 for both coaches. If we're getting beaten by Auburn in year 3 because of depth and talent when both coaches are in parallel tenures in taking over programs coming off dumpster seasons from 2012, then I'm completely out on Bert because we're going backwards and not forwards.
Say what you want about Malzahn (I think he's a used car salesman myself), but he make chicken salad out of chicken shite in 2013 and rode a converted DB to an SEC Championship in effort to get the most talented players on the field. It's not like Marshall was some game-changing QB he inherited.
I'm still in Bert's corner and hanging on by a thread, but I'm mad as frick at how this season has turned out, and that will only be amplified if we lose winnable games to the likes of Auburn, State and Mizzou at home when all three have looked putrid for most of the first half of the season.
