Noticed it repeatedly during yesterday's presser.

The whole "Mmmhmmm" thing when he was waiting on questions from the media? I kept waiting on him to say "I reckon I like me some fried taters..mmmhmmm" and end it with "Mmm...aaight den".

Good.

It's not a coincidence that Lou Holtz left ESPN earlier this year.

Spurrier will be the gift that keeps on giving.

He's been doing that awhile now - check some of his Media Day videos. I started noticing it last year. Honestly, I concluded he was talking to himself in his head and acknowledging the conversation out-loud without realizing it. I catch myself doing it sometimes now. I think as we get older it happens. I used to notice my mother-in-law doing it all the time around the time she turned 80 or so. She would mumble and say "okay" to herself when she was doing things but no one was talking to her.

So Spurrier is already helping USC court Dantonio and is flying under the radar by attending gameday too.

I wonder if he will make it through the whole show, or if he'll decide to quit halfway through.
