Except the NCAA doesnt care. They are stupid. Look at my link, we couldnt take regular Muscle Milk because it had too many calories from Protein. That is why Muscle Milk came out with Muscle Milk Collegiate. It is dumb but we were all warned and told never take a damn tic tac if it didnt come from the trainer

I never said otherwise. Just making a factual correction that it's not a steroid.

Dumb move by him. He's a kid, he made an incredibly dumb mistake. But it's freaking over the counter, all that shite usually sucks. I've taken real steroids...nothing is close. Young and dumb. And yes...my penis is tiny now.

Don't feel sorry for him.

My brother was part of a D-1 football program and he got all the supplements that were okay by the NCAA for free, every day, as much as he wanted. Whole freaking cup-full of pills every day. And he said they got STERN talking-tos about NEVER taking anything at all that wasn't given to them by the training staff.

Not only do these guys not need to go buy anything of their own, they're explained the consequences of doing so, again and again, in no uncertain terms.

This guy wanted a banned edge, however small. I guarantee he was educated on why you shouldn't do this exact thing. I also guarantee that anything that's still allowed by the NCAA was his for the asking, free.

That could be true. It was never provided to us, but it wasnt banned. I always remember thinking the protein to calorie ratio rule was ridiculous. How could they test for that? Also, another amazing one, the main sponsor for NCAA tournaments my Junior year was Vitamin Water, which had multiple flavors that had banned substances

I dont know why everyone keeps dismissing what this kid took. Its a SARM. It happens to be legal at this moment before the FDA can catch up and ban the new ones like all the old one's. Kid knew actually what he was taking. The shite is a legit bulking compound that he was using to add size.

SARMS is the latest and greatest steroid alternative. You don't take this stuff without knowing what it is and what it does. They are dangerous and have not been approved by the FDA. It's marketed as having all of the pros of steroids but only limited side effects.

here's why I believe he didn't know

UF policy is if you refuse a drug test, it's an automatic suspension.

Jalen Tabor refused drug test earlier this year and had to serve 1 game suspension. Weed is a one game suspension so why refuse unless you have more than weed in your body (i.e. PEDs)

If you have any inkling as to your piss being dirty or worried about an unapproved OTC medicine, you'd just refuse the test, take the 1 game suspension and move on.

This blindsided Grier. That's why he was shook up. The unfortunate lesson is I guess to just refuse the test and take your automatic suspension (depending on what your particular institutional policy is).

Are athletic departments allowed to provide supplements to their players? I would assume so, but not sure. That begs the question, if the athletic department gives it to you for free (stuff that's allowed) why would you buy it yourself unless you know it is against the rules?
BINGO!

I promise you, these student athletes are educated on this shite. They KNOW what's right and what's wrong.

I feel sorry for the situation he finds himself in today. But damn he was educated, he knew it was a risk.
