What all the other guys that have transferee and played their senior season at FCS schools without sitting out a year?
Mizzou has had a lot of them. I'm sure that MO State has a grad program that Mizzou doesn't have.

Its actually Missouri law that they can't. I know there was a petition going around in the past few years over the issue.
It was part of the 2005 name change. It is essentially a non-compete clause, particularly in offering PHD's. Basically the legislature ensured Mizzou would never have any competition in the state with any public school.
EDIT: not entirely accurate.

Gonna be hard to graduate on time when you aren't going to class.

I have 2 sibling with graduate degrees from MO State, both from programs that Mizzou didn't offer.

Curious...which programs? Was this pre or post 2005?
After doing a little reading and research....not illegal, but each program must in cooperation with Univ of Missouri, with Mizzou holding the final say so on programs offered.
I was mistaken.

Everyone is correct about Mauk transferring.
1. Mauk can transfer to Mo. State if he graduates from Mizzou AND Mizzou chooses not to renew his scholarship.
2. Mauk can transfer to Mo. State if he graduates from Mizzou and goes on to study a grad program not offered at Mizzou if Mizzou decided to renew his scholarship to try to keep him.
3. If he does not graduate from Mizzou, he needs 2 years of eligibility remaining available to transfer.

With all respect to TJ Moe I think Mauk will be able to find a D1 landing spot where he can do the graduate transfer thing.
The psychotic ramblings of Mizzou message boards about his statistics aside, there are plenty of D1 programs out there that'd probably love to have him as their QB. Hell there are SEC teams that would.
This is assuming he gets all of whatever has caused the suspension taken care of, and quietly. If so he will end up somewhere in D1 I think, quite possibly even at a P5.

I agree.
Especially if the slate is clean so to speak.
He's got the talent, lacking the discipline.

Definitely on the D1 programs. Possibly on the SEC programs - not sure he'd be able to land in the SEC even if Mizzou agreed to release him to a conference school.

I'm more interested in seeing what Zanders does. With Lock already taking the starting job, does he stay? Switch positions? Or transfer?
If he transfers I could see him going the JUCO route to prove that he can play QB.
If he gets into an offense similar to what Rich Rod runs at Arizona he could really excel.

If he graduates, and was not dealing drugs, there would be several pure Air Raid and spread schools who would love to have him. And they would fit his style. The game has already slowed down for him, 1 read and throw, plus he can throw 40-50 times a game no sweat. He would tear it up at Houston, NC State, Texas Tech, Nevada and here's a possibility, Oregon.

No he wouldn't. He's not accurate enough to "tear it up" anywhere.
If he was, he'd be "tearing it up" here.

Yea I agree. Those air raid offenses are built around the short passing game. Mauk really needs to put in a lot of work with a QB guru to improve that aspect of his game.

Yeah I should clarify I don't think as a practical matter he will wind up at any SEC school for a lot of reasons. Just saying if they could make a wish, a team like, oh, say, Vandy would probably take him in a nanosecond.

I hate to say it, but there's a Big 12 program directly to the west of us where Mauk could waltz in and be 100% sure of starting his entire final year of college ball, and be a very short drive from his dad in case he needs to be around for the remainder of the cancer battle.
You could make the argument that Missouri State would be a better program and football team to transfer to and I'd probably agree (do they play South Dakota State this year?) But in terms of a place to not have to move far, and be an automatic starting P5 quarterback all year, that one particular stinky place to the west is a wiiiiiiiide open option.
Plus, it really wouldn't matter what he's been suspended for, as the basketball program over to the west has demonstrated that the school in question will let its athletes get by with literally anything.

if that's what you think, then should Pinkel have set him down, (to instill discipline), that is BEFORE he was suspended of course.
