How many big games has he played and how did he do?
South Carolina / Florida / @ Georgia / @ Vanderbilt / Mississippi State / Tennessee /
None of these are BIG games....remember the East is down.

UGA should win but will fook up at least a game or 2. It could be the Mizzou game but you have to think they will be favored going in
Gators at least look like they are getting back to their former self but they still have issues
State is in the West and I am going to say they will be favored in the Mizzou game. Hogs as your other West game, who knows at this point. With Bob Evans, Golden Corral, WC Lounge, and China Garden all next door to each other Bert could be distracted for that game.

Based on the TN game? So they're looking like their former selves because Butch coaches "not to lose" and FL received a miracle from God?

Gators are 4-0 overall and 2-0 in conference. They beat UK who beat MU and they have Ole Miss and LSU from the west this year. If they win this weekend I would say, yes, they have gotten back to their former self.
At this point it looks like UGA and UF will battle for control of the East.

For me it's TBD. Not saying they aren't but I haven't seen enough to say yes.

UF is in good position, and they very well could win this weekend but they aren't close to their former self.
Well, I guess that depends on which former self you are talking about.
East is down, brutha

The fact that Florida may be a contender in the East this year shows you how shitty the East actually is.

Rumors suggest this may not be temporary. I hope that's not the case, I do wish the best for Maty. Frustrating as he can be, he's a gamer, and a gritty player. I don't want bad things for him, and he's dealing with a lot personally right now.
This.
On the plus side, I think the players will rally around Lock.

Friends mothers cousins aunt said they got in a little scuffle. Mauk in his feelings about up and comers for his position?
Posted on 9/30/15 at 7:36 am to Cheese Grits
I have a feeling that he will never regain his starting position.

Really?

When looking at the past, Florida as top of the east has been good shot at a Natty. Missouri and South Carolina have not gotten there and Vols have been down since the Fat Mn left. Georgia has at least gotten there and won, even if they did not wind up playing for a Natty.

I don't understand your point. Florida was good during those years. Florida isn't good this year (and hasn't been good for a few years) but is in contention for the East.

My point is you and I differ here. Like you I felt the Gators were still down even tho they might not look good. However, after actually watching most of their games, they are not the Gators of the past few years and may be slipping in under the radar because folks thing they are still blah. This weekend will tell us much and I am sensing an upset of the Rebs when they roll into The Swamp.
Not saying it is anything tangible I can put my finger on but just a feeling from watching years and years of SEC football.

This has nothing to do with Skai and everything to do with Maty Mauk. Come on, Cheese, you're better than this.

Mizzou fans don't think much of FL because of the last two years.
But they are wrong to just assume that FL is "down". What if Kentucky and Tennessee are actuAlly 8 win teams?
And what if FL is actually good? No one knows.
And just for reference, FL has the youngest roster in the East aside from Vanderbilt.
3 true freshman OL.
Red shirt Freshman QB.
2 true freshman RB.
1 true freshman TE.
1 true freshman WR.
Don't mistake FL for being "not" good just because of the way the UK and Tennessee games transpired.
That young talent has gotten better every week.

So, Kentucky made him quit.

I thought Tennessee had the youngest team in the nation? For the third year in a row?

More than half the 11 players FL had on the field on that 4th and 14 were freshman.
