Main Rant decorum

Let me preface this by saying this is NOT me trying to tell y'all what to do Y'all are all grown-arse men and women and can do as y'all please, regardless of my druthers.

The sniping back and forth between ourselves and LSU fans has become untenable, IMO. It's no secret that it's gotten to the point that it's damn near impossible for any actual conversation to be had, and tbh, it's kinda pathetic on both sides. Not here to assign blame--we're to blame, they're to blame, hell, the mods are to blame for allowing the site to trend in that direction long before we even made the SEC move. The modding will always have an LSU bias--that shouldn't shock anyone, and trying to fight it is really as futile as trying to enforce pro-sip modding on TexAgs. Just expect the double standard and move on.

Better yet, as cardboardboxer and others have suggested, just take the high road. Yeah, it's easy to have a comeback for everything (Lord knows I love me some witty verbal comeuppances ), but it's just going to continue to derail the thread. After awhile, dousing the fire will go further than fueling it (plenty of time for that during tGulfWar Hate Week, trust me). As many LSU trolls as there are on this site, there are a myriad who'll engage in legitimate conversation, too. Gotta foster those chances.

The familiarity, proximity, history, and similarity of the A&M and LSU fanbases is combination that will naturally breed contempt. We can have fun with it without letting it get out of hand, but it has to start with one fanbase making a concerted effort to keep the dislike within reasonable check.
