Was it appropriate for the SOuthern Band to keep playing and dancing and trying to get the people of Athens to raise the roof.........all through the 15 minute time out for one of their players that had to be strapped to a board and wheeled out to a waiting ambulance?
The two ladies behind me didn't think so.
Did they give any updates on the broadcast if the kid was alright or not?

It was fine. They played quielty and respectfully. I'd imagine it is some kind of Southern U tradition whenever there is a serious injury.

I love watching these HBC bands.
I remember Dad taking me to the Florida A&M/Georgia Southern game back when Southern didn't have a stadium yet and played at Memorial Stadium in Savannah. Man, what a show.
The stands basically emptied after halftime.

I thought that at first but then I thought about how it was probably better they do that than just have the crowd be silent. Idk, I am with the other poster, seems like they knew what they were doing and weren't trying to be disrespectful.
