I would hope most coaches wouldn't lose to Toledo in year 3...

What's the deal with War Memorial? A few years ago y'all won nearly every game there, but now you have several losses there over the last 3 yrs or so. Do y'all expect to keep games in Little Rock?

Over react much? It is one game. Let the season play out.

So if Arky loses six games do they make one last attempt to money whip Patterson and try to get him to leave TCU?

No, they don't need to do that. Beliemia will have to address some factors but he won't get fired.

buyout numbers are: $15.4 million from 2015-17, then $11.7 in 2018, $7.9 in 2019 and $4 million in 2020.

good lord, why would you tie yourself down to a coach like that when he's had one 7-6 (2-6) season

Oh, they are fricked then.

My opinion, we used to get more central Arkansas recruits and the football in central Arkansas was much better overall at that time. Those recruits would be hyped and wanted to play in The Rock, however our recruiting has changed overall. We pull more LA, FL, TX, etc than we used too and they mostly look at Little Rock as just another game they have to travel for to a dumpy stadium with terrible facilities.

It is the GSD, Great Stadium Debate. Little Rock used to be the place Arkansas played all the big games because everyone in the state could get there and it was (at the time) a nicer stadium. A lot like Alabama playing some of their games at Legion Field.
Well that has changed in the last few decades, its much easier to get to NW Arkansas now and War Memorial has gone down while RRS is bigger and nicer then ever. Its tradition that we play games in Little Rock, and though our AD would dearly love to not play there, lets just say there is a lot of entrenched interests in keeping the Razorbacks playing at least one game a year there.
Bielema loathes playing in Little Rock, considering it a road game, and most of the players aren't fond of it either. Considering we seem to get a bumper crop of injuries on that field I can't really say I blame them.

The only issue is...who do you get that's better? Literally who is out there right now that's gonna be a better head coach than Bielema?
Matt Campbell

I hear Tennessee fans already calling for Jones' head but I'd ask them the same question.
That's my concern. Which is why I calmed down a bit. I'm disappointed with the Oklahoma game, and my doubts about Jones have been confirmed, but given our options, I'm not putting him in the irredeemable category just yet.
Now, if he loses in Gainesville, he's done, it's over.

It's obvious a change is needed. He just isn't SEC caliber
I've openly expressed my contempt for him, and I do hope he's fired, but his buyout for the next 3-4 years is like 15.4 million. And I agree, he's not an SEC caliber coach. He'd probably consistently finish behind OSU, Michigan State, Michigan, and probably Penn state if he were in the B10 now.
Also, if he goes, they need to probably get rid of Jeff Long, too. Some rednecks around here don't like him because he's a"Yankee"; I just don't think he's that great.
Petrino needed to find some place to go after that debacle in Atlanta, so it was likely more of a perfect storm, circumstance rather than expert negotiation that got him here. And I'm totally convinced that if a 5-star basketball player from Little Rock doesn't become a Hog, Mike Anderson's hire would have already looked regrettable, and, the way his recruiting has been, it looks like it's going to be a "fun year", now.
Dave Van Horn, who wasn't hired by Long, is a really good baseball coach, and we're fortunate to have him. I don't care the other sports, track included.
