Wow no wonder that place is a hotbed for Isis

It's actually because of your shitty confederate flag on our state flag that y'all are so fond of. We refuse to march your symbol of racism out there anymore but apparently you cannot present Ol Glory without a state flag beside it at a football game. We have a huge arse American flag that flies in the end zone so that should do nicely. But carry on with your troll attempt.

We need Trump and the wall to keep these ISIS groups out of Starkville.

Damn, America's spirit is not going to allow State to win with that attitude. LSU by 30 now

There is a lot of erroneous information in this thread. The National Anthem and the traditional honoring of the colors will indeed take place Saturday night pre-game as it always has. The decision the university made was to improve the flow of pre-game activities and incorporate an innovative new patriotic performance by the MSU Maroon Band. The band has a new pre-game and national anthem routine that will include a “USA” spell-out and use of the song “Grand Old Flag” prior to playing the National Anthem.
The focal point for the band and the crowd during the performance of the National Anthem will be the large permanent stadium flag, which eliminates the need for the ROTC color guard. The university sees this new routine as an appropriate display of patriotism and a better fan experience. MSU does not use a pre-game color guard in any other sport and hasn’t for several years – we use the new large venue American flags. MSU’s ROTC remains a high-profile part of our game day activities, particularly in leading the post-touchdown celebrations in the end zone. MSU has earned national recognition as a military-friendly campus and that remains a significant part of our university values.

Reading comprehension fail. They won't be presenting the flags pregame with a little march holding their flags on a pole before the national anthem. The giant flag that flies in our stadium will still be there that everyone looks to during the national anthem.
Public Mississippi university doesn't want to parade the civilly controversial state flag before the game and rather than blatantly leave it out (state school), they chose to just leave that little ceremony out altogether.
