its not holding no matter how much jersey you're grabbing

Yes,it is and its clearly stated in the rules.
You CANNOT grab or restrict a player no matter where your hands are placed. and your palms MUST be open if they're on the opponents jersey.

Where did you come up with your interpretation of these CLEARLY stated rules?

Must not be using that higher average career earnings to good use. Get your priorities straight!

Holding doesn't get called properly in college. I see blatant holding almost every play.

ETA Just wait until we get an Auburn guy as head of the SEC ref's. shite will change real quick.

Pretty sure Auburn paid Petrino for that win last night.

If anything, at least send him a tip.

So you have never seen the movie "The Blind Side", because I think even my wife knows to grab "Between the tits".

Louisiana traitor Cam Robinson :,(

Think if he stayed in Louisiana man. Robinson at LT, Alexander stays at LG, Pocic at C, Clapp or Boutte at RG, and Hawkins at RT. Would arguably be the best OL, pass blocking and run blocking, in the country.

Yeah, we were scared to death he would drive the length of the field, in less than 50 seconds, with one time out, for the tie.

.You must always keep your plam open.

This technique isn't taught at a single high school, college, or NFL team in the entire country - for what it's worth - and if it is, they're probably not very good. It's not a thing.

Kinda silly to have a pet peeve that is literally universal.

"Holding" has been re-defined by the game, regardless of what's written.

Did he throw him over a fence like Michael Oher did in The Blind Side?

DJ Fluker turned the art of holding into becoming a first round draft pick. NFL teams probably thought damn this guy holds a lot, but he usually gets away with it so let's take him in the first round

Did you even know those were the rules of holding?
Ive seen 2 people clearly state that grabbing the jersey is "not holding"

Sorry, don't get my interpretation of CFB rules from movies, unwritten (bama)rules,or message board Yea Hoos.

Ive actually seen this form of holding called and enforced but not nearly enough.

Clearly you don't know much about football.

Sounds a lot more like Greg Robinson than DJ Fluker, IMO.

That was actually written about in many of Greg Robinson's scouting reports pre-draft. So there's that.

My knowledge of "holding" comes from playing and starting at 3 different spots on the offensive line at the collegiate level, and several years coaching the offensive line at the high school level.

You?

As I stated in a previous post, "holding" has been largely re-defined by the game. There's not a team in the country that teaches "open palm" run blocking. That's not a thing.

Funny enough, I've attended more than one coaching clinic at UGA. You know what Mark Richt and his coaches teach? I'll give you a hint - it's not "open palm" blocking.

I'm sure you were.

If you say otherwise, you are lying regardless of how many times Louisville hooked you up during the game.

I almost made that traitor famous enough to where he was a household name, but I kept the gun in pocket when he got off the bus last year.

We won. I am sure you were one of the ones calling for the upset. We turned the ball over 3 times and led wire to wire. So sorry for your loss.
