IF I am Beliema I let things ride as they are going. Before long the Pro Style is going to be where kids with pro asperations will want to go. It is already headed that directions and the few that run a true pro style offense will benefit most from this greatly. Why would an offensive lineman that has pro potential want to play in a system the doesn't prepare him for the NFL. It is trending that way now.

So far, he's not the idiot re: the theory, you guys are for not seeing the big picture.
Bert and Saban both don't like the spread, but they can't just say we should get rid of the spread because it would it make it easier for me to win games. Instead, they spout insincere nonsense about player safety. No one is convinced, and they look like a pair of asses.

Call me a grumpy old man, call me a dinosaur, whatever.
But arena, Micky mouse football sucks arse.
If Alabama starts doing that shite I'll say the same thing.
Football is more interesting when defense is in the equation.
Just because YOUR team is currently running a bullshite system is no reason to lose sight of that.
It's pitiful that all these Auburn fans who grew up watching Bo Jackson and Takeo Spikes have sold their souls to a carnival act.

Because:
1) his logic doesn't follow
2) his desire is based on a transparent attempt to freeze the evolution of the game
3) his desire leads to less watchable football
4) he has no evidence on injuries
5) he has no evidence that TV executives are more interested in time slot certainty than things like more offense or more watchable games
6) he is still fighting the war he lost two years ago
7) he gives no basis for his conclusions
8) even if he did have a basis for his conclusions, you couldn't trust his conclusions because he has a vested interest in the outcome
9) his position is transparently about negating other people's advantage and increasing his perceived advantage
10) It hasn't been shown that HUNH offenses make the game go faster. More scoring, more breaks, faster pace, more passing, leads to longer games actually.
11) the last round of NCAA rule changes were designed to do what? Make the game go faster, not slower.
That concludes just the first 11 things I thought of on this topic.

Guy, the OP isn't about an injury angle.

HUNH doesn't use offensive linemen? Interesting

You can't honestly believe something like that...the NFL drafts on ability not on what scheme you learned in college. It is a fact that the NFL has to retrain all college players just like all college players have to be retrained from whatever poor techniques their HS coaches taught.
Gus' HUNH is a flashy wing-t, guys have been playing oline in the NFL from wing-t offenses probably since the inception of the NFL.
Greg Robinson was a #2 pick and first year oline starter in the NFL, historically one of the positions most difficult to break in as a 1st year player. Of course he managed that despite being drafted with the thought he would likely be able to sit for the first year.

Does Bert hand these out during the fan meetings now?
good lord the brainwashing

Wtf does HUNH have to do with pro-style vs the spread?

He cited the fact that even HUNH offenses rarely snap the ball before 10 seconds has elapsed.
which means there is no point to making a rule that requires teams to wait 10 seconds.

So OP claims Bret was on the radio and nothing to indicate such words were said when you search his tame on Twitter.
OP, this is a terrible troll attempt.

Is this the thread where everyone blindly supports whatever position their current coach has?

exactly, Bert is the kid on the old madden(not sure if different now) that waited until you selected your play, looked at your three play options, then decided his play.

College baseball has changed the bats and the balls
College hoops has messed with the 3 point line and the shot clock and number of fouls called
I can definitely see the NCAA change hurry up no huddle rules. CBS SEC games can run 4 hours with all the breaks and commercials, hurry up no huddle or not.

I've seen Bret say maybe 3 or 4 things about HUNH that get retread over and over. On the other hand I have seen the same people gripe about what he said to no end. So if we are going by who bitches the most it's you pussies in a landslide.

Gawd no.
This is why I can't bear to watch the NFL any more. Especially Sunday/Monday night games. They seem to drag on forever with the commercial breaks. Sometimes the Saturday games on CBS seem to flow like an NFL game, I hate that shite.
frick you Bert.

It's pitiful that all these Alabama fans who grew up watching mediocre offense have sold their souls to Lane Kiffen and bubble screens yet still think they are traditionalists. At least Arkansas has the balls to constantly run behind the line and say "see if you can stop us" if that's what they're going to preach.

Yeah! It certainly isn't the guy who drapes himself in injured players pretending to carry the banner of player safety on an issue that doesn't really impact player safety. Nah, the disingenuous bitch who tried to ram through rule changes on the sly isn't the problem, it is the massive group of people that resent it. I like the cut of your jib, broseph.
