Yeah.

I think with a normal schedule I'd say Tech was underrated in that list, but with our schedule this year we'll be lucky to end up where they have us, purely due to competition. We play every team but one in the #8-12 spots in that poll. At #17 we're underdog in four games on our schedule, and if we lose four games, we won't be ranked 17, just because that's how it goes.

Plus, you know, Miami and VT are pretty dang good.

In terms of who's over-rated, we can always go back to historical data. History seems to think Oklahoma, USCw, Notre Dame, and FSU.

Georgia Tech has to go Clemson, Miami, and Notre Dame but gets FSU, VT, and UGA at home

They beat Clemson and UGA last year and have FSU all it could handle.

I think they have a chance to go 4-2 even 5-1 in those 6 games and win their division again.

I hope they destroy Notre Dame.

they would have lost to Clemson if Watson did not get hurt early. they lost 2 best WRs and 4 RBs from last year, and their defense was not good, so not realistic to expect much.

Overrated:
- Bama - not terribly overrated, but still have a ton of questions for a top 3 team.
- USC - I don't understand the love for them this year.
- Clemson - they lost their entire defense.
- Stanford - I don't think they should be ranked at all after last year.

Underrated:
- Arizona State
- Georgia Tech
- Mizzou

Alabama isn't getting their respect based on name you dumb frick. They are getting it based on results the last 8 years. They have replaced receivers and QBs a lot the last 8 years and always seem to finish high in the rankings.

Until Clemson can avoid Clemsoning, I can't see them staying in the Top 15.

I think they could be Top 15. I was impressed how they handled Florida State last season.

You'd think Clemson is only team to ever lose games.

How does a Kentucky person ridicule Clemson. lol Kentucky is like a wake forest program.

Clemson has finished ranked higher than their preseason ranking 4 years in a row. Good chance it will be 5 years in a row.

Did G Tech beat FSU last year? Clemson played FSU tougher.

And Jameis didn't play vs. Clemson...

He played vs. GA Tech.

Clemson didn't lose their entire defense. Dabo said Clemson has best secondary that he has seen in his 13 years with the program. We also have 2nd string guys who played a lot last year that will start plus highly ranked freshman.

The defense will only need to be average this year anyway because the offense is going to score a lot.

we started Cole Stoudt, and the FSU QB was a top recruit in country.

FSU had -1 rushing yards in the game.

Clemson should have beat FSU. It's like they didn't want to win. Soooo many chances to take the lead, to put the game away but "nope, here you guys take the W".

Did Clemson just feel sorry for them because Winston was sitting out?

why does an arkasnas person care? your programs has been one of the worse the past 5 years. no reason to beat up on Clemson for missing some FGs and a bad fumble against FSU.

Yeah, and when Jameis played previously the year before, FSU destroyed Clemson.

Plus, that was the FSU backup QB's first start.

Trying to compare the way Clemson played FSU vs. the way GT played FSU when Jameis didn't play is useless.

FSU will finish the season outside the top 15.

Eta: and GaTech will finish in the top 7.

you didn't watch much of G Tech last year if you think they were that good. Teams were moving the ball on them all year, they got a lot of fortunate turnovers that bailed them out.

Winston was a no. 1 QB in the draft last year. he was pretty good. but that game was about the defense, plus 2 horrible turnovers by a tight end and Boyd early in the game.

What FSu did to Clemson last year is what happened to them last year against Oregon. And it was sweet.

Clemson is 6-6 against FSU the past 12 years and look better on paper for this season.

I do know that GT has its best QB its ever had in the Paul Johnson era, and that defense was relatively young.

They got some young, tall WRs (seriously how the frick does GT have all these tall guys that end up being studds?) and they've got a good OLine.

They are good.

I saw enough

I saw them totally beat Clementine down and treat them like little bitches

I saw them pull a win out of their arse against my GA Bulldogs

I saw them lose a heartbreaker to Free Shoes

And then I saw them beat MS State maybe even worse than they beat Clementine

So, despite the inexplicable loss to Duke, yeah, they were legit top 10 last year
