Per local Fox news affiliate:
A tree removal service was cutting down a tree this morning when they misjudged the angle and it accidentally fell on a house in Hoover.
I'm betting they're not even insured. From the looks of the truck, trailer and not even topping the tree before attempting to take down the trunk. Somebody's screwed.

Maybe it's the angle, but even if it missed the house it looks like it would have hit the power lines and pole.
What idiots.
What idiots.

This is not universally true.
My best tree guys are ALWAYS the cheapest. I swear they must be a money laundering operation.
I couldn't get them to my house after the April 11th tornados because they were too busy. Since the trees didn't damage my house, insurance wasn't paying. I cut what I could, but several of the tree were inexcess of 18" and I couldn't cut them.
First estimate: $6K. Second estimate: $4500. frick that. I could have bought the saw I needed for that size trunk and rented the bobcat for that! Waited on my guys for a couple of months: $1500.

Where I live, the town has to pick up all that crap. Tree cutters don't necessarily have to remove most of that tree once they cut it up.
