I'll leave you with this though for bamas first NC claim. And ftr AU has two stronger NC claims a decade before bamas first and exceptionally weak claim.

Their regular season complete, all that was left for Alabama was to wait for the Rose Bowl bid they simply had to have to be considered nationally relevant. 8-0 Dartmouth, 7-0-2 Colgate, and 5-1-1 Princeton turned down invitations, and 7-1 Michigan, 5-3 Illinois, and 5-2-1 Yale appear to have rebuffed inquiries as well, so the Rose Bowl committee looked Southward, but first to Alabama's Southern Conference co-champion 9-0-1 Tulane. Unlike Alabama, Tulane had already established national relevance by tying Missouri Valley champion Missouri (6-1-1) and by going up to Chicago and beating 5-3 Northwestern 18-7 (Northwestern gave 7-1 Michigan their only loss). But Tulane also turned down the Rose Bowl, citing concern over the students being out of class for the long trip out West and back. The Rose Bowl bid thus fell to Alabama

Yes because we're in this money-making game together. Winning keeps the fans in their seats and their money flowing to SEC coffers.
12 bowl teams last year and the potential for 13 this year is incredible. The OOC games mean bowl or bust for a lot of conference member schools.

No, but sometimes I pull for UF and UGa, I don't Hate AU or Bama but wouldn't say I pull for them. Screw the rest

I do what my heart says. It gets tough when it's your two most hated teams play each other. Auburn and ga tech was a struggle.

Only ones I don't cheer for are bama and georgia. Well I don't really cheer for any but I don't like to see them lose to OOC

If its another power 5 time I do. But some little small school with seemingly no chance.. I have to root for them. UGA vs Appalachian state comes to mind. Those guys were fighting.

Big 6 vs OOC: Yes
Big 6 vs Lil 6: Yes.
The hardest game to figure out who to root for that doesn't involve Auburn is the Bama-LSU game. LSU is my second favorite SEC school, but I prefer for the Iron Bowl to be the game that decides who goes to the SEC ship from the West.
Lil 6 vs OOC: Yes
Lil 6 vs Big 6: frick em!!!

I want to see SEC teams beat OOC teams because when we beat those SEC teams, it gives more quality to our win. Also there are some OOC teams I just hate because of the fanbase, media hype, coach, or a combination of the three and I'd rather the SEC team layeth the smacketh downeth.

AU and UT no. Not in a gazillion years.
Everyone else, absolutely.

so true
back to the OP, yes I cheer for every SEC team that plays OOC games.

Generally speaking, yes. The SEC looking good simply means that the champ looks good.

I end up cheering for Ole Miss some because I have buddies that went there.
I also tend to cheer for SEC teams when they are the underdog.
I tend to root against SEC teams that are in high profile OOC games. Like when LSU opened with Wisconsin, I would have loved to see them step on their own peters.
So, it is a mix.
Oh, and as always, I hope Auburn goes 0-12 every year.
