Am I the only one who still lays the Ohio State loass at the feet of Kiffin?

It makes me sick to think bama was up 21-6 and was dominating OSU's defense with the run, but Kiffin insisted on putting the ball in the air which played into their favor.

I knew Bama was going to lose when - after getting the ball on the 30ish yard line with a chance to retake the lead - the very first play was an interception while trying to force the ball to Amari.

I thought the CamBack would always be the hardest loss for me to swallow, but I believe the playoff loss has taken its place.

It wasn't Kiffen's best game. If we stuck to the run, we would have won. But that's last year and this is this year. Time to get busy.

Well, Kiffin deserves blame but at the same time it was Kirby's defense that was giving up those 3rd and Longs and allowed 35 points with over 200+ yards rushing.

That said, we did nothing on offense to alleviate the defense. We got into a rut of 3 & Outs, which had been a problem all year. The playcall after the OSU miffed punt was awful. Our problem was that we simply didn't have an identity on offense and refused to take what the defense gave us.

Since we probably won't have a QB who will have Sims' ability to scramble, I'm really concerned about the 3 and out problem.

I blame the loss at both the offense and defense. If the offense had played great it wouldn't have mattered how bad the defense did. Vice versa for defense.

And personally, thinking a loss in a team sport falls onto the feet of 1 person seems a bit silly to me.

Sometimes you just come up short. Could have done this different, could have done that different, just hope they learned from it and moved on.

Ohio St was a physical team and I hope it made Saban think of having a more physical team in the future rather than the trend of smaller guys because of the meercat offenses.

When you average 6.5 YPG and do not run the ball but a few times, the loss is on you.

We lost. Get over it. It's a new year. Play calling was suspect, but the players have to execute at the end of the day.

It's still stuck in your craw 6 months+ after the fact? Holy shite, move on. I've been more preoccupied with being excited about the upcoming season, than dwelling on frickups from the previous one.
