Which SEC teams have the best and worst coaching staffs?

With so many strong staffs it is hard to say who has the best. Teams like Alabama, LSU, and A&M all have very strong staffs, but we can't forget about UGA, Ole Miss, and State. Also, we have to discuss which team has the worst group of assistants. Give me your thoughts.

I would put Vandy last. I thought Mason made a ton of sense, but I'm not sure that guy could close a Dairy Queen without racking up $85,000 in debt, and it burning to the ground. For that reason, I think they are last.

This has all the makings of the Texag crew cumming all over another civil thread with Kevin Steele jokes. Then we'll laugh at how they pay Sumlin 5 million for a declining record, and then Chavis joins the discussion, followed by a good hearty laugh over how many games he actually cost LSU the past two seasons.
But to answer your question, I have to think Vandy's is the worst. Alabama's staff is fantastic, and Arkansas' is the most underrated. LSU has some of best position coaches you can find (Raymond, Ed O, Tony Ball, Frank Wilson), but I personally am waiting for Cam Cameron to earn his fat paycheck without Mett and the top 3 offensive rookies in the NFL

Your groupings and some of your choices are odd.
Bama. LSU. UGA. those three seem to have the most consistent good staffs, as far as on field performance and recruiting.
A&M/AU/Ole Miss/MSU have looked strong some years and pitiful in others.
Arkansas is trending nicely and probably belong in that second tier.
Vandy is the worst. It's really the only choice.
ETA: I would move UGA clearly below Bama/LSU, but above the others.

Tennessee's are the worst, those hillbilly eyebrow shaving, banjo playing fricks

Between the Vols' fashion show and rednecks melting over gay marriage, it's been a fabulous off-season to say the least

I challenge whoever downvoted my post to make a cogent argument that Vandy's staff could be anything other than dead last. It can't be done.
ETA: Tell me you wouldn't watch a show that gave Derek Mason a Dairy Queen to manage and all he had to do was get the operation to the next day. I'd bet by noon a car would have plowed through the seating area and Mason would have hired and fired three shift managers multiple times: Patton Robinette, Stephen Rivers and Johnny McCrary.

Don't forget the overhype of what is sure to be a mediocre UT team (yet again). Someone needs to calm them down. But hey, they'll look good winning 6 games.

Only to do everything himself at the end.

There are no straight up dogs. none.
The SEC's worst, whoever it may be, is still pretty good.

Finally, a Vol with some perspective. Have an upvote.

David Shaw drives up, looks, shakes his head, and drives off.

The best coaching staffs are in the non revenue sports. I know uf has a world class swim staff, our 2012 Olympic coach, an 88 gold medalist, and some wanker who represented UK (the country and sec school oddly enough) Bama's swim coach was a multi year world record holder and even ran the US Olympic committee for a while. I'm sure arky or lsu could chime in on some t&f staff as well.
I know this wasn't what you were looking for, but it is the truth on best coaching staffs in the sec.

I wouldn't trade ours for any staff, not including Bama. I think Robb Smith is going to price himself to be one of the best DCs in the country in the next 2-3 years. Jury is obviously out on Enos. Very happy with Bielema. He's still young (relatively) and has many years to perfect his coaching - he admitted that he took too much of a cookie cutter approach the first year, and it showed with our record. Instead of continuing the same approach he hired a new DC and shaped the defense into one of the best in the country, lending to the improvement in not just the record, but competing in every game. that to me shows maturity and the willingness to change. I honestly think he's going to be in the tier 1 of coaches within 5-10 years

idk man. He's like an advertisement for a massive coronary. I would advise you to cherish every moment you have with him.

That's not surprising. Arkansas fans on this board are notoriously fans of their coaching staffs in all of the sports. Petrino, Nutt (before the PR request), Van Horn, Heath, etc. The only one you guys didn't really like (and it still took two seasons) was Pelphrey.

Nutt? Then there was a buttload complaining about Chaney the last few seasons and we've hated our DCs forever until Smith??
Confused- are we supposed to hate them before they even step on campus?
