If anyone doesn't think Ole Miss is headed for probation soon then they haven't been following the national recruiting ranking trends over the past 10 years.
2002 33
2003 38
2004 29
2005 30
2006 15
2007 27
2008 29
2010 23
2011 20
2012 47
2013 8
2014 15
Which years stand out?
Wait. So is your theory that Ole Miss decided to cheat ONE year, had enomrous success in doing so, and then stopped cheating or haven't been able to replicate?
All SEC schools skirt the rules to some extent. If Tunsil was meeting with agents, that in and of itself isn't against rules. It's a bit concerning if he did so off campus in an uncontrolled environment along with his clearly unstable step father, but it doesn't mean he took anything (no, I'm not naive, I just think in today's NCAA you're gonna need more than a meeting if a player or team is to get in trouble).

no, they cheated the same, they just got outbid by UT for a stud that would have put them in the top 10

Pretty much the entire top half of that recruiting class has been allegedly involved in impropriety, kicked out of school, or transferred.
Somebody wants a seat at the big boy table

ETA: Entire List for reference. Yes, some are gone.

off the top of my head, Golson and Dodson both transferred (both 4*s) and Brassell was kicked out of school if memory serves. Also, somebody caught a sexual battery case, don't recall who.
I was definitely exaggerating the 'half' part of that statement.

Why the frick do SOME of you MSU fans care so much? Let it play out. It's pretty depressing. I'd understand if y'all were just trying to rustle jimmies, but y'all are seriously invested in hoping this kid doesn't play next year.

I don't want any fat guys to play. As a society we shouldn't reward obesity.

One player in that class did something bad/illegal.
Golson left because he was a bitch and didn't want to play RT nor compete against Tunsil(which I don't blame).
Dodson left because we have 75293457229387 average RB's, although I thought Dodson was the best runner, just blocked for shite.
Snoop didn't make grades. He had a slight crack in the door of opportunity when we re-signed him, that door shut quickly. 99% of our fanbase knew he didn't stand a chance, but it was a free shot, so why not take it.

sounds like someone is rustled. and don't act like if it was MSU it would be any different.
I am pretty sure nothing will come out of this, charges dropped, or a plea deal for x number of hours of community service.

Site the rule and then explain the violation?

You don't have to get defensive about it, just attribute it to a 'process'
Posted on 7/1/15 at 11:31 am to UAtide11
I wasn't getting defensive. Just clarifying since I'm bored at work and you said off the top of my head.

I was not in every Dak thread after the beat down waiting and hoping for his season to end...sorry

Of course nothing will. If it was even slightly something, a big deal would have already been made of it on a website other than ED

Well you are ok then
but both sides, MSU and Ole Miss, have rabid fans that want the other to die in a fire. I say we have an SEC Thunder DOME, two fans enter, one fan leaves.

At the very least, they'll get an NCAA investigation.
Hopefully nothing comes if it, and hopefully nobody looks into the rest of us.

Whether Tunsil punched his step dad in order to save his mom's life or he whopped him upside the head while he was sitting in a lazy boy eating popcorn and minding his own business, it doesn't matter.
Judge Freeze has already rendered his opinion, which is that unless Tunsil is sitting in a jail cell on game day, he's playing.
End of story.
As far as the agent situation goes, that's going to be up to the NCAA to decide any wrongdoing and to level the appropriate punishment against the school.
Ok, all together Ole Miss fans hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Now that's what I'm talking about.
In.
Where, though? Alternate yearly, or neutral site? Veteran's Memorial? Free admission and cheap alcohol?
