What do you think, overall not just at Bama and Auburn. Not by schools but by Alumni, etc and lets say at east 5k a year.
My educated guess is 70%. (Yes I have some receipts)
I bet national average at Big Conference in 60%.

For all players? I would actually go lower. But for starters, MUCH higher. ALL programs technically cheat, its only a matter to which level, and how brazen.

Alabama is an NFL team in a college setting.....if you're talking about player salaries....

I knew shitty basketball players at Troy that were getting a couple hundred bucks a week. It's everywhere

For starters? Easily higher if we're including the stuff they get for free that they shouldn't.
Free meals, use of cars, low interest loans on cars they purchase, free suits, free use of rental cars for family members, etc... Plus the cash that gets handed out.
I would be shocked if there's a single starter at any "Big 6" team that doesn't bring in at least that much.

100%. Even the "also-rans" find a clean $100.00 bill stuffed in their locker after a big game or big play.

I definitely think it used to be everywhere, but I am not sure it as bad as people think today. Be pretty fricking tough to hide today

If it's not hard to hide $180,000+ to one of the most high profile players to ever play the game, what makes you think it'd be hard to hide handing out a few hundred dollars cash at a time?

This.
The 80s may have been the most rampant.

Cam Newton is the only player in the history of college sports to be paid.
The rest are/were true amateurs of sport. BC or Before Cam the kids played for fun.

Everyone in this thread is retarded. Starters aren't getting paid big bucks, the other players would find out and some would raise hell.
$100 hand shakes? Sure. But they're not getting big bucks, get a clue guys.

Well I do know of one player who is getting $1300 a month. We recieved a application for financing from him. It was listed under "athletics scholarship". He said he recieved the $1300 each month til he graduates May of 2016 as part of his scholarship
