Platoon

I was shocked anyone actually liked or respected this hackneyed drivel. It had every cliche and stereotype of the Vietnam War packed into it. Garbage.

It was pretty bad, but is it considered a classic or something?

I don't hear it mentioned much.

Have never seen or read any Harry Potter stuff, but to me LOTR isn't really sci-fi,it's fiction, but really the opposite of science.

I would think it would qualify more as Superstitious fiction or Pagan fiction, don't you?

It is about morality and such, but I don't think Christians invented morals.

Really,IMO, the entire series of books is about Character, strong and weak.

Every time a Greatest War Movies thread pops up on here Platoon gets mentioned. Plus, it won the BP Oscar. I would say that qualifies.
