Sorry, you didn't have sorority houses till three years ago Hardly what one would think of as a party school.

Holy shite, what a badass. I grew up in Austin but you don't hear me talking about how much I partied at UT in high school because I'm not a child and my life wasn't defined by, nor did it end with partying in college. Maybe there just aren't real careers for OM grads?

Lol, like you need a greek system to party. That's just tragic.

Couple of reasons. The social scene at Ivy schools have been in place for hundreds of years. In addition to fraternities and sororities they have social clubs too so you are really doubling your social activities if you are a member. Think Skull and Bones at Yale but there are dozens of them. Harvard has the Lampoon and Hasty Pudding. These social clubs are HUGE at the Ivy League schools. Second these schools are small and insular with virtually all students living on campus which leads to more socializing.
I've both studied and worked with UPenn grads. If you want to party with them, I won't be there. Truly insufferable people.

So parties that don't take place at a sorority house don't count?
Interesting

When I think awesome parties, sorority houses are definitely the first thing I think of.

Having a strong Greek system is an indication of a vibrant social scene. Not having sorority houses is not a strong Greek system (I don't think auburn has them either). You're not even the top party school in the state

Can I just say that the inclusion of UC Santa Cruz is highly legit?

Sewanee for Tennessee! (Hides behind couch)

You guys realize most every ranking of towns, schools, partying these days is just click-bait, right?

I assume they are gospel and not to be questioned. Would such a reputable publication mislead us?

As a Tennesseean with friends who went there, Sewanee parties hard as frick. Never been to a school that was dominated by Greeks like College of the South.
Went to one party where instead of a keg they just had what looked like hundreds of bottles of liquor. The party in itself looked straight out of a movie.

Been to a few parties at Sewanee, they are legit.

Those schools must have paid Playboy to include them in the top 10. That's the most ridiculous list of party schools I have ever seen.

I ended up knowing a ton of guys who went to Sewanee. After every weekend there I always felt that I made a good choice not to attend... I'd have never graduated.
The nice thing about it is that the frats are all so damn similar that you can move from party to party without it being a thing.

Small isolated campus. Perfect environment for that. Had an ex girlfriend who went to Rhodes. Said same thing about that place

You do realize we've actually won/been listed as #1 party school in the nation more than once by national magazines? I like you StopRobot but your comment is totally an exceedingly young person's assumption. Like completely wet behind the ears young.
Also, the Strip (aka Cumberland Avenue) didn't get its name because we were uptight.
