I still find it hilarious how much LSU fans love baseball. The local radio does every single Zepheyrs, or however you spell it, game. It's a nightmare.

Barons, Biscuits, and Bay Bears games are all on local radio too. Every single game.

Typical Redneck Bama fans generally only like sports that are currently winning. You may find a rare few that actually are true sports fans but for the most part you get the bandwagon type. Always been this way, always will

Alabama is elite in gymnastics and golf. I'm a UA grad and I have never watched a gymnastics meet or golf match.

As I asked another of your brethren, how many LSU womens soccer games have you attended?

Yeah Cheeseburger, if BAMA had won 6 titles and gone to 16 CWS in the last quarter century, you all would not love baseball I guess.
Gumpneck please.....

Since my niece plays soccer for LSU, a lot

My family is deep rooted in all LSU sports. We have been well represented in quite a few LSU sports. So I am sure your argument has some validity you might not want to use it with me

Wait a minute. Aren't we playing in Hoover?

Not just any Hoover but THE Hoover. Didn't the SEC HQ tell us we need to play the conference tournament in Hoover EVERY season because there's no other comparable ballpark in the 11 states comprising the conference's region?

I thought the SEC HQ defended playing EVERY year in Hoover and claimed it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact the conference HQ is located in Birmingham.

If this is the only ballpark worthy of holding the tournament, shouldn't it at least have a few minimum requirements such as cameras? It's the year 2015...don't they have electricity yet?

It's just another reason to move the HQ out of Gumpville! Frick the SEC HQ!

I wouldn't. To me, it's one of the most boring sports we have regardless of how good or bad we are. The only UA teams I watch are football and basketball. I would watch men's hockey, soccer, and lacrosse if we had those teams.

Jesus dude. At least try to sound intelligent. When you watch the SEC tournament in the past, did it only have one camera? Well there is your answer. The cameras/production quality is completely up to ESPN3/SEC Network, or whatever you were watching it on. If there is something at the Hoover Met that enough people will actually watch, they will bring in more cameras. ESPN has shown several Hoover High games that were played there, and yes, they had more than one camera.

There was a lot of complaining when A&M played at Bama earlier this year, too. I think we should cut them some slack, given their facility situation. It really is pretty unusual.

I'm not reading through 4 pages of this shite, but OP is right. This is a disgrace. Attempting to watch 3 full games was torture. The camera person was drunk, unable to follow the ball, zoomed entirely too fast, and sometime even missed the pitch/swing because they were too focused on a runner on base. The play by play guy rambled about pointless shite, didn't know what was going on, and was just awkward homer. Finally they couldn't even get the scoreboard on screen to function half the time. The other half of the time it was wrong.

Let me see if I can decipher to the logic into which this morass of a thread has devolved:

Bama fans don't care about baseball.

College baseball is a minor sport.

Since not many college baseball players make it to the big leagues, there is little reason for anybody to care about college baseball.

Fans from other schools who care about baseball are unenlightened and stupid because they spend time worrying about a minor sport that doesn't matter.

We are proud to have a shitty baseball broadcast because it demonstrates how cool we are. We are cool because we are disinterested in minor sports.

1997 still stings like a bitch, doesn't it.

None of these people are employed by Alabama, so the OP was not right. This is an ESPN issue, not a "mighty Alabama" issue.

I do like the sarcasm the OP attempted though. Points for effort.

Explain it then. Not some bull shite answer like "we put our money where it matters." Seriously, explain why one of the best athletic programs in the country is using one camera in an SEC series against a top 5 team.

Basketball bruh.....we finna pay-up to get a top tier coach to fix that clusterfrick......

And The University of Alabama has exactly zero to do with that.

Take your beef up with ESPN/SEC Network for only crewing one camera operator for their production.

I actually do pay attention our CLUB hockey team, but it would be my #1 sport at UA if they were in the NCAA (they are currently my #3 sport at UA behind basketball and football).

Maybe. Moving up to D1 this season is a big step.

We will have to add a women's sport first, most likely lacrosse.
