I agree that it's a better indicator, but it's literally never used in crowning the conference's best defense.

Every game matters.

Defense will be better. Lineman will be bigger and stronger. LBers play will be the same if not better and the secondary will just be flat nasty! The season will come down to QB play although the running game will be very good all we need is consistence at the QB spot.

The difference between LSU's home and away (P5) ppg allowed is astounding. To the tune of 15 pts - more than 2 TDs average difference.

I'm guessing the Auburn game probably has a lot to do with it.

What kind of defense will Steele run

We'll run the same defense while gradually working in some 3-4 looks and concepts. I think Steele would like to run the 3-4 but won't have the personnel for a few years.

How do you see Kevin Steele's first season going?

I don't like the hire, but it's going to be pretty hard to frick up all the talent they have along with a great coaching staff. I see us being better next year. We should definitely be improved in our 2 minute drill, it has nowhere to go but up.

has he ever run a running back into the ground?

So we are funning Fournette into the ground and not even milking clock.

If you didn't notice, after the Kentucky game, we ran our offense to maximize Time of Possession which directly lead to a better defense because they were on the field way less.

I honestly think that without factoring in coaching changes, this defense will be better than last years. The secondary will be even better, and up the middle at DT and MLB will be much improved as well....they should be very strong on D this year, and not so vulnerable to the run up the middle. When you factor in coaching changes, obviously, that's an unknown at this point.

I really don't think there's a whole lot of "our" in it, is it?

It flat out amazes me how quickly lsufan throws Chavis under the bus while the OC gets off scot free

You should read my post

I basically wanted both gone. I got half my wish but we still ended up with worst half

He'll want to show some 3-4 looks, but we're a 4-3 defense with personnel the way it is. He'll have his work cut out for him in recruiting and coaching linebackers for the next couple of seasons.

I'll be happy if we can just show a real pass rush. We haven't had that the last 2-3 seasons.

Honestly, we've got an incredibly talented team right now, we just need some competent play at QB.

The OC actually has an excuse though. Losing 3/4 NFL WRs, 2 NFL running backs, starting FB, an NFL guard, and an NFL QB. Chavis lost two defensive tackles and that's basically it. That whole defense was veteran yet still shite the bed.

4-3 under with odd fronts apparently.
