You guys realize it's much easier to dominate early on at skill positions than on the line of scrimmage right?
With that said do you really think that a DT is going to have a ton of tackles? Ole miss had one of the best D in the league and Rob played a good part of that.

They were good because of their secondary. LSU had a better defense in the second half of the year

Since his name IS kind of hard to spell, just call him Bob and the "N-word". His name starts with N. See how that works out for you.

Lol you must have not watched the Notre dame game brother.
Ole miss secondary was damn good but let's not act like Nkemdiche isn't good.
It's very similar to all the arguments that Fournette isn't very good because he didn't run for 2,000 yards and 40 TDs

I'm pretty sure 80% of Mississippi already calls him the N word. Lol

I'll give you that, although Chavis was already packing his bag to A&M. Look at Ole Miss against TCU, they looked like they didn't have a defense. I think Nkim. is good. Not great. I still believe LSU had a better defense overall at the second half of last year.
And yes I realize TCU was probably a top 4 team, but that was a pathetic showing

why is this a 100% LSU-led conversation

He and tunsil will get drafted higher than any LSU player in the draft next year
Ole Miss fans honestly amaze me. LSU is a factory pumping out kids into the NFL, year after year. Nobody is beating their chest or anything like that. OM puts very few into the draft. They have ONE good year recruiting, and you find guys like this literally bragging about what MAY happen. I don't wish ill will on any of these kids, but man, some of you fans are a complete joke. What point are you trying to prove with that statement? That you have a couple of good players? OK.

yep, I remember the OM posters saying before the game that LSU wouldn't get 100 total yards. LOL. they fumbled a couple of key drives deep in OM territory, so they didn't score a lot of points...but they put up plenty of yards against that great D. Auburn went ahead and exposed what LSU didn't, and then Arky and TCU finished the deal against them.
They had a good D...not a great D at all. They were too light up front, and physical teams had their way.

You obviously haven't watched him play. He gets double teamed 3/4ths of the time he's on the field. Opens up for guys like marquis Haynes, CJ Johnson etc.
This is always said about guys that don't produce.
He's been ok. I'm sure he'll be drafted highly though. People say NFL scouts don't buy hype, but they do.

Special DTs can rack up a lot of tackles
Sheldon Richardson had 75 tackles in 2012. We had 4 DTs with more production last year. At some point, you have to do something.
