Damn, that is moving with size.
The thing I have noticed is Sammie had one of the faster 10 yd splits. Can anyone explain what the NFL is looking at with this metric?

Kevin White stole Sammie's freaky label. Ran a 4.35 at 215 pounds.
Amari Cooper also had a great Combine. Its a toss-up who is better IMO between Cooper and White. Though I believe Cooper will be the first WR picked, I prefer Whites combo of speed and power on top of his WR skills.

Cooper is just so quick and smooth off the line... really wasn't fair for a college DB to have to cover him. dude made Simms look way better than he really is...
they're gonna miss AC a ton next year... more than their fanbase realizes.

Agreed, watching AC in drills he makes the WR position look so easy and natural.

I think you guys are putting too much into the combine. Sammie's numbers aren't leading the group but they've all been good. And receivers that get open with those numbers get drafted high. This is a passing league now.
Edited: draft to combine

Putting too much into the draft? Isn't the draft everything to a player? I'm not sure I follow. I think his numbers are good and he will get a decent draft position. His hands will hold him back from going real high.
My comments have been in reference to all the expectations people had here. Sammie has a way of getting past defenders and his strength is a big asset. I think you are reading too much into what folks are saying here. I dont recall anyone saying he was going late rounds due to his results did you?

I know I responded to your post but I wasn't critiquing you or anyone else and I meant to say combine.
Anyway, take a chill pill brah it's Saturday

Responding to your post is requiring a chill pill now?
I knew you meant the combine but I wanted to give you some shite.

10-yard split measures explosiveness; which is important for initial break off the snap. It is very interesting that Coates' 10-yard is every bit as fast as guys like Dorsett and White who ran 4.33-4.35.
I'm interested in seeing the "official" times.

Yes that is why I asked. His 10 yd was very good. Thanks for the explanation. I know what it meant to me but I was curious what NFL people use to grade the players.

The difference between Winston and Marshall on those deep passes was astronomical. It really gives you the sense of difference between a natural feel for throwing the football and "manufactured" feel. That is why Marshall isn't an NFL QB; it isn't natural for him.

I didn't get to see NM throw. Did he not do well?

The difference is just immediately obvious when you see them back to back. One guy is natural, the other isn't. Marshall almost looks like he really has to concentrate to hit the pass how it needs to be hit. The elite guys guy throw throw the ball effortlessly.
Marshall did have one deep ball that was under thrown. Receiver had to slow.

I thought Marshall looked good. Blake Sims shouldn't have been there. He was fricking awful. Winston looked the best by far imo. I would like to read a professional break down on the QBs at the combine.

Thought Nick didnt look too bad for not working QB stuff at all. Blake Sims has the arm of a middle school girl

Watching Blake Sims at the combine would make me draft Amari Cooper #1 WR no doubt.
Whats funny is that Coker couldn't beat Sims out for the starting job. It may be a long year for Bama next year.....

I wouldn't be shocked if Marshall didn't get the QB prep work that many other QBs at the combine got.
