Welcome, Tony! I'm happy with this hire, and I'm definitely glad we got through the hiring process quickly.

Seems like an excellent hire. Ball has been the WR coach at UGA since 09 (was RB coach from 06-08) and the Bulldogs consistently had quality WR play during that time. They lost their top two or three receivers to injury in 2013 and the passing game hardly missed a beat.

Doesn't look like much of a recruiter but his ties appear to be strongest in the Tennessee/Virginia/Carolinas area. We should have no problem getting him talent to work with, and he definitely seems like a strong developmental coach based on the results he got at Georgia.

Sweet. Anything to irritate Georgia.

Billy Gonzales part 2. Go ahead and downvote. You'll get it in two years.

UGA says he is a great coach, mediocre recruiter

Would have liked to get someone with more connections in Florida or Texas. Oh well.

UGA folks say he's not a big time recruiter, but a technical guru. Which is what I'd prefer. We good on recruitin'

I am hoping he didn't take the job only because the money is better at LSU than Georgia. How many studs did he have to work with throughout his tenure at Georgia.
