I guess there are always going to be exceptions that prove the "rule." I mean, some people, be they black/white/asian/whatever, are simply more prone to be aggressive. It's not a race thing--it's a personality thing.
The problem arises when folks believe that because some people act a certain way, everyone who shares their ethnic background must share those tendencies as a matter of course.
ETA: And I know I'm preaching to the choir on this board, btw

I was thinking only in the MS Delta can you say that to a complete stranger at your place of business and nobody think it's odd.
It happens in Birmingham to me every now and then. It's always an older white guy, and it always makes me do a double take. It always blows my mind how casually they'll throw their racism out thinking I agree with them or something.

Must be. I live, very proudly, in the deep south part of South Carolina and have for all of my life outside of a couple of years in NC and a couple in Connecticut.
The ppl in CT were, by far, the most racist, hostile, egocentrical group of white trash I have EVER encountered. Misconceived largely bc they dress their trashiness up with multimillion dollar homes, cars, private schooling and couture clothing. I suppose they believed, incorrectly, that bc I had an obvious Southern drawl, they were welcomed to spout their racial beliefs to me. I was disgusted and it gave me an even nastier taste in my already Southern mouth for the morons we so lovingly refer to as yankees.
They are, however, equal opportunity bigots. They despise anyone that isn't an exact, cookie cutter, mirror image of themselves.
