Teams played Alabama really hard in the past?

I think teams might have played hard at times, but ultimately 'quit' in the past.

A good example would be LSU. LSU appears to always play Alabama hard the entire game. Arkansas however, hasn't always played this way. Now Arkansas will play LSU hard the entire game (and vice versa).

Like I said I am just having a hard time understanding how it is any different from our other losses?

I've just heard the same damn thing going on 3 years now.

It is much easier to regain at the collegiate level. Recruiting has arguably gotten better. It's just about finding the right talent, and seasoning it with experience, at the key positions of QB and boundary corners.

Looks like the usual suspects on the list.

i wouldnt mind being ranked at 7 going into next year, but ranking auburn at 6 is ludicrous. muschamp will probably improve the defense, but its not going to be that much improved in year 1. Also, oregon at 2 is stupid. Its going to be the same thing next year as this, they will beat up a bunch of scrubs and then lose to physical teams

Maybe, just maybe, Alabama is a better team than their opponents?

Stupid fricking argument.

That's a fair argument, I guess. I still think Bama's in a tougher division, though.

11? I'll take it but it seems high.

actually, Ole Miss has been top 10 in almost every early top 25 poll released so far. The lowest ive seen the Rebels ranked has been 14th. not sure what that says, but there is definitely a pattern.

That worked well for South Carolina last season.

Don't come in here and try to be logical, bud.

Just ask LSU, Mississippi State, etc. fans and they'll tell you: we're going 6-6 next season

You mean to tell me that 2010 didn't take away that aura of invincibility when Garcia bent us over? Or what about 2009 when we were just one blocked field goal away from losing to Lane Kiffin? Or 2011 when GA Southern ran for a billion yards on us and a JJ led LSU team beat us? What about losing to the rookie tamu in 2012? Or getting bent over by Trevor Knight in the Sooner Bowl or Auburn 2013 and the kick six?

If there was ever an aura of invincibility, it was misplaced. Alabama has always been a beatable team. The thing is very few teams have been able to do it.

Even when Alabama beat us 25-0 in 2013, we didn't "quit playing."

I just don't get his argument. Outside of Vandy or scrub directional schools, everyone generally plays hard against one another.

Seriously I wish Bama lost their "aura of invincibility" and could be an underdog for once.

The fact that this one isn't "too early" means it's more legit than most

22) Missouri Tigers (11-3)

After two straight division championships and double-digit win seasons, it would be unwise to write off the Tigers, even though they face a tall task replacing several wideouts and standout D-linemen Shane Ray and Markus Golden. QB Maty Mauk enters his third year as a starter and will benefit from an experienced and talented offensive line. Nop

I got a little pessimistic about our chances against y'all on 10/04 when all the talking heads on Gameday picked against us.

Once I got in the stadium and felt the electric energy permeating through Vaught-Hemingway Stadium (it was actually bourbon), I knew we had a real shot. Once we scored that first TD in the third quarter, I knew it was gonna be a fight.

Great game.
