Im stupid because Saban is 8-12 vs Top 10 teams?

I was talking about the OP.

I didn't check who the reply of the reply was for.

But, yes, trying to trivialize what Saban has accomplished is stupid.

Carrol at 14-5 is freaking elite against the top 10. But his frat boy coaching style gave him NINE losses vs unranked teams

Sort of sounds like tuberville

Pat Dye (GOAT)

8-1-1 bowl record (.800)*

*Adjusted for worst PI no call in Sugar Bowl history by Dodge of FSU in 1990.

Only bowl loss of entire career was in 1985 Cotton Bowl against AtM.

How many on that list are active former Florida coaches that you wish so badly you could have back?

Saban is definitely overrated as a coach. Seven #1 recruiting classes in a row but only 1 undefeated season and just lost to a 3rd string quarterback

Right, Phannie...and Gus has him solved and will force him to quit.

Nice season you had there.

Counted as 4-1 for Sumlin since he left for Texas A&M before one of the bowl games.

To be honest Saban is overrated. What did he do that was so great at Michigan St.? The Dolphins? Sure, he's won at LSU and Bama, but be honest those teams recruit themselves. Don't give me any look what he did compared to Shula, Dubose, and Fran. Shula and Dubose were just bad. Fran didn't stay long enough to be judged. Send Saban to MSU or Ole Miss and see how good he is.

OP's metric has Croom as the best coach of all time as best I can tell.

LSU was 3-8 the year before saban and last in the west. They went to 8-4 his first year and 2nd in the west.

And they also went 10-2, 9-3 a few years earlier under Gerry Dinardo. Again, Dinardo shouldn't be confused with great coaches. Talent was at LSU when Saban arrived. DiNardo inherited an LSU team that hadn't had a winning season in 7 years and went 7-4-1 his first year. Who did he beat in the Indy Bowl that year? Saban and Mich St.

Yeah I would rather have Phillip Fulmer, Les Miles, Terry Bowden, Kevin Sumlin, Dennis Franchione, etc. over Saban because of bowl records. OP is a mother fricking retard.
