Did Alabama Deserve to Make the Playoff? (Post playoff/bowl analysis)

Turning things around a bit after the bowls, there was a lot of debate about whether Baylor/TCU deserved to get in the Playoff over Ohio State. But, we could apply that metric to all 4 of the teams now.
Oregon? Clearly deserved to be in.
Ohio State? Obviously.
Florida State? Did not deserve to be in - probably worst of the 4 teams, BUT, they were on a 29 game winning streak, were undefeated, and were the defending national champions. They were not going to be left out.
Which brings us to Alabama - a team who gave up over 500 yards to Ohio State's 3rd string QB. They lost to Ole Miss, a team with 4 losses and who were obliterated by TCU 42-3 (only because TCU had mercy).
What was Alabama's best win?
Over Miss. St? The team that was blasted by Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl. The same Georgia Tech that Florida State beat.
Over Auburn? The same Auburn that was beaten by Wisconsin who was beaten by Ohio State 59-0?
Over LSU? The same LSU who could not be a 5 loss Notre Dame full of second stringers?
7-6 Arkansas becomes Alabama's second most impressive win after Miss. St. Alabama will likely have beaten only 1 team on the season that finished ranked, depending on how far they drop Ole Miss. Maybe 2 teams.
So, AFTER the bowl games and knowing what we know now, who was more deserving of the playoff berth? TCU or Alabama?

The rankings don't matter. It is supposed to be the 4 best teams. If we apply the logic AFTER bowl season that we applied before, would Bama get an invite over TCU?
It is a legitimate question. The SEC - including LSU, my team - was exposed as a bunch of frauds. How does that affect how we see Bama now?

Miss. State was #1 for half the season. They got exposed.

You're right, Florida State didn't deserve to be in, TCU did.
However you conveniently left off Alabama's win over what will be a top 15 11-3 Mizzou win who just laid Minnesota to the woodshed, a team that Ohio State squeaked by with their "second string" qb.
