Division Realignment - A Common Sense Approach

Since we are all one bowl game away from the offseason, time to bring this one up again. I am a straightforward, point A to point B kind of person. And I see absolutely no logic in the current division alignment;
Need someone to give me some good reasons why we do not switch Missouri and Vanderbilt to the West and move Alabama and Auburn to the East. It keeps rivalry games intact (TSIO and IB) and gives a true West to East break down. Why have we not done this?
Go.
SEC - West
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi State
Missouri
Ole Miss
Vanderbilt
Texas A&M
SEC - East
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee

For starters, that would put the two Tennessee schools in separate divisions...

Is this a joke? 5 of the Big 6 in one division? LOL

Too. Easy.
Next.

I say we split the Alabama and Tennessee schools.

Anticipation of going to 16 teams.
Current alignment is temporary.

which is one part of the problem of Miss., Tenn., and Ala., all having in state rivals.
Dividing them up is problematic.

SEC fans always trying to move Mizzou west to keep us down on the recruiting trail. Stop trying to destroy our southeastern inroads and move us back to recruiting Texas.
We don't even really go after the big star guys, this constant effort from the SEC is weak.

Didn't appear you wanted to split up same state schools with moving both Alabama and Auburn.
For that matter, your division doesn't give a "true West to East breakdown", since Tuscaloosa is further west than Nashville...

Seems like you're trying to come up with a division consisting of LSU and 6 also-rans.
Sorry bro, tDecline is real and you can't run from it.

Simplest and most common sense thing is draw a line right down the middle. Vandy and Bama are the schools in the middle and you keep bama in the west and Vandy in the east for overall conference balance.
Everyone knows this and everyone knows this is the way it should have been done to begin with. Unfortunately mistakes were made and Mizzou got put in the East and it isn't gonna change.
