Even though it works sometimes, I've never seen someone use trick plays late in close games more often.

That series of play calls was one of his worst for sure and yes it happens a couple of times a game. I will admit that

I think Malzahn is one of the best coaches in the game. But that double pass was horrendous. If nothing else, there was a high probability of a turnover or pushing the FG back further.

He does try to get too cute at times. He called a bad game from the start, IMO. We didn't even attempt to run the ball in the first half. It's very head scratching.

Gus just couldn't take another meal from the Awful Waffle. Thanks to the loss he can have a good meal.
