We had thugs before all those kids were kicked off, and I promise you we still have thugs now. We have bagmen; we have kids that do drugs; we have kids that cheat in school. Kick three guys off the team for smoking pot; I'll show you three more who smoked and haven't gotten caught. Booting the pot smokers off doesn't make us superior, it makes us dumb. Our roster is filled with pot smokers either way.

Not to mention inconsistencies over the years. Montez Robinson was arrested for domestic battery three times before finally getting kicked off the team. Three. What makes domestic battery a more agreeable offense than smoking dope? And crowell was caught with weed before the Florida game a few years back and his suspension was conveniently pushed back to the next weekend when we played St Mary school for the blind.

The Georgia Way is a fictional tale penned by McGarity where Richt is the main character.

This post is full of stupid not sure where to start?

If our roster is full of pot smokers why are we kicking
off starters?Couldn't we have found someone else besides
JHC to kick off?

Why did we sit TG when A&M and FSU basically gave the
NCAA the finger for just about the same infraction?

How come we don't recruit kids that kicked out of
other SEC schools? Our competition certainly does
when we kick out players.

If you don't think we have higher standards for disciplinary
issues and failed drug test than just about every other SEC
school you're delusional

Are you saying that we're covering up failed drug test?
Domestic battery issues? How come John Taylor got
kicked off the team if that's the case?BTW he is being
recruited by Bama for next season.

This might be true but neither of us knows for sure. If the drug testing is real, I don't understand how the team could be "filled with pot smokers". But your very attitude that our policies are dumb actually reinforces what you suggest doesn't exist, that UGA has tougher standards that many of our top competitors.

I do believe we have higher standards but my problem is not with the summary discipline but rather with the lack of daily/ongoing discipline that might well nip in the bud problem behavior before it leads to an incident that requires summary judgement. These young men need mentors and why we don't have mentors at least monitoring the behavior of our best players is beyond understanding. Maybe this is part of what's missing from our program that is present in other top programs because they are investing more in additional personnel to assist our coaching staff.
