CFP Top 10 Overall SOS : Should Miss State be nervous?

Using FPI for rankings and #129 for all 1AA games and including an SEC, ACC, Big Ten and Pac 12 Title Game scenario using UGA-UA, Duke-FSU, Wisky-OSU and UCLA-Oregon
#1 UCLA - 31.00
#2 Ole Miss - 39.58
#3 Alabama - 40.00
#4 Georgia - 46.46
#5 Oregon - 47.54
#6 Mississippi State - 54.42
#7 FSU - 54.62
#8 Ohio State - 55.23
#9 TCU - 58.83
#10 Baylor - 65.33
All of a sudden Ohio State and MSU's schedules are almost identical. While MSU has a much more top loaded schedule (#1 UA, #4 OM, #6 AU, #16 LSU, #17 Arky, #19 A&M) they also have a really bad lower end (#129 UTM, #117 USM, #98 USA, #93 Vandy, #92 UAB, #61 UK).
Ohio State is the opposite, they don't have a lot on the top, but they also don't have a lot on the very bottom (#63 Navy, #42 VT, #51 Cincy, #50 Maryland, #67 Rutgers, #48 PSU, #12 MSU, #10 Wisky, #43 Minny, #44 Michigan).
As a MSU fan, I would not feel comfortable with this. And it isn't even taking into account the Anti-SEC sentiment and the shilling for Ohio State that the media will be sure to do.

How is this subject dead?
It's only going to intensify over the next 3 weeks.
I think it would be a screwjob because the majority of those #50-75 ranked games OSU played were against teams with no chance to lose to really. Those games aren't any different than games against #100-129 in my opinion. And of course State has played a bunch of top 20 teams.
However, you can guarantee people will start pulling out stats like the one above to say "see State's resume isn't even that much better and look at their OOC".

Yes because...
1. Bama control's their destiny.
2. OSU will get in the playoff at number four and they will get left out.
3. That mentally challenged State fan with the cowbell on Finebaum could be living next door to one of them.

How does it make you feel that he graduated from Alabama?

This is why lower ranked games shouldn't carry as much weight when calculating SOS.
Vegas isn't setting future odds based on how MSU played against UTM, and neither should the committee be even really considering these games

Why? UCLA has played a really good schedule. The Pac 12 South is very good, they drew Oregon from the North and their OOC schedule is really solid with no cupcakes
@ Virginia (46)
Memphis (36)
Texas (38)
@ Arizona State (29)
vs Utah (28)
vs Oregon (2)
@ Cal (47)
@ Colorado (74)
vs Arizona (26)
@ Washington (39)
vs USC (15)
vs Stanford (21)
vs Oregon (N) (2)
That's a dang hard schedule

Agree 100%, but that won't be how the media discusses this.

Yep. Just getting started. This is going to grow and the team that doesn't get in will melt until next season.

I said this before OSU played Mich. St. If OSU wins out, they are in the playoff. They are a blueblood, and that will matter in the end.
If you are trying to make money, which obviously the playoff is, and you have OSU/MSU/TCU/Baylor sitting all together and deciding which one you want to maximize profits, the choice is easy. Those 4 teams will be close enough for:
1. TCU/Baylor to be eliminated based on sharing a conference title and playing 1 less game
2. MSU not winning its division

I agree. And OSU will have beaten Wisconsin the last weekend (who isn't great but is good enough to give them a bump).

Sounds like bama fans want no part of a rematch

You must have missed where I said I think State deserves to (and hope they do) get in.
I just think the national media and the tides of things are going to turn towards OSU if all this plays out that way.

If osu beats Wisconsin, we're in trouble.
I do think Wisconsin wins though.
I also think pac12 championship could be tough for Oregon.
I'd like north Carolina to beat duke tonight bc I like Georgia tech better against Fsu

100% agree, also I just think it would be hilarious to watch this FSU team have to deal with Tech blocking their shins for 60 minutes. Tech-FSU would be really interesting. Duke-FSU would not.

If you ask OSU fans, it's been going for 2-3 weeks now, ever since the Mich. St. game ended. OSU fans are notorious for hating on ESPN, but are all of a sudden fine with ESPN because they are supporting OSU now. I mean even Pollock, who was saying OSU should never get in based on VT, has changed his tune completely saying that shouldn't weigh them down too much.
It is sickening that it is coming to this. Even though it is helping my team out this year likely, I don't approve of it

OSU will also have one more game to play in the B1G title game.
They aren't leaving a 1 loss Ohio State and Big 10 conference champion out of the playoff.
