I have a tendency to hate all players that do not play for my team.

However, once they hit the pro game I can warm up to them. Example: The Mannings, DMac, etc.

Anyway, I am really starting to like Mett for the titans. He has great personality and seems like a guy you would play your guts out to help him succeed.

My question is to the lsu fans.

Was he a well liked player in college? Did he have that same cool arse persona while at lsu?

I can't answer your question but I think he has Phillip Rivers type potential.

He's a megadouche, but he pulls it off in a way I can somewhat respect.

Yes he did. He might be immobile but he is tough as nails, can make all the throws and is a great leader.

Really grew up in the 2013 offseason. While offensive corching greatly improved from 2012-2013, he really bought into the preparation aspect.

Another question is...with Mett, a stable of NFL receivers, and a good OL, how did LSU lose to Bama by 3 TDs?

Yes, everyone loved Mett. He was not perfect, but he had heart and was a gunslinger. He had the respect of his teammates and the fans. Even when he made mistakes, we knew that he was out there laying it all on the line for his team. I wish that we would have had a better defense last year and better offensive coaching his first year. The pieces just were not there, but I always felt we were in the game with him as QB. He went 19-6 as a starter, which is not stellar, but there were other problems.

As for his dudeness, yes, he is a dude and always has been. A very likeable guy, in my opinion.

Not really. He had a cannon for a arm but was inconsistant many times, which drove the fan base nuts.Good leader but not at all mobile. This will catch up with him soon in the pros as well
