Says he wants an Offensive minded HC
Some of this targets should include, but not limited to
Gary Patterson HC TCU
Art Briles HC Baylor
Bob Stoops HC OU (was actually mentioned on ESPN)
Dirk Koetter OC Atlanta Falcons (Out of the box candidate)
ESPN also said early reports do not include Malzahn or Mullen
So I ask is this a smoke screen?
We need the Coaching Changes board back open

I swear to God I'm gonna laugh if they end up taking Jim McElwain from CSU

I predict none of those happen.

I think it's fairly obvious they'll target an offensive minded head coach. They've bad their most success under offensive minded head coaches (Spurrier, Meyer) while absolutely tanking under defensive guys (Zook, Muschamp).

The UF beat writer said his name but also said he wasn't sure if he'd be interested in leaving the West Coast
Another awesome kick in the balls candidate...
Rich Rodriguez HC Arizona
Said there was mutual interest

Meyer and Spurrier were also both proven HC's. Zook and Muschamp were not. That will be their primary focus.
And it's going to be Jim Harbaugh

Butch Jones is purported to be in the mix as well. He ran an aggressive style up there at Cincy.

Mullen, Freeze, or Petrino.
Briles seems good but is really bad against ranked teams.

I don't buy Harbaugh at UF especially right after Muschamp...JMO JH is much to respected still in NFL circles, if he got with an owner and GM combo he could WORK with he would be a great hire for another franchise.
He knows this, no way he jumps back into college if he leaves, not this soon

None of those four are even a possibility.

I could see Petrino head to Gainesville.

Strangely Petrino wasn't mentioned
Give Briles some of that Fla talent
The one that would scare me the most I think though would be Patterson with at least having a pulse on D and he has built a hell of a program at TCU in the shadow of a lot of others "state" schools and TCU is much more sustainable and developed program than Baylor at this point. He would do extremely well there I believe

All of those guys weren't successful in their time in the NFL, though.
Harbaugh has been very successful.

None of those guys even came close to the level of success JH has achieved at SF in a short time though

True but I just think college is more his style. He'd rather be there. We'll see.

Petrino isn't leaving Louisville. He will be there until he's fired or run out of town IMO.
