Speaking of Little Rock, I was at the LSU game prior to our Sugar Bowl birth.

I remember paying 50 bucks for student tickets. As I got to my seats there was an extremely intoxicated young man.

Cops showed up and body slammed this fella. He had a plastic bottle of whiskey. As they were escorting him out they dropped the bottle in my lap(half full)

Not sure why they gave me the bottle, but I had to share the story.

Donors love/hate of Long tends to focus on the amount of access to the program they had before and after him. Broyles let a lot of longtime donors and cronies have crazy access to the program. Long runs the place like a business. This pisses off the good old boy network who feel like they're unappreciated for their contributions

No, not close at all.

Long seems to shun some donors. Then, when he needs something such as money, he calls them. I know of a few who have said they will no longer deal with him.

The feathers began to ruffle when money was raised for the baseball facility, by someone other than Long. Long decided to use that money elsewhere.

Long has treated the program as simply a business imho. One that has a monopoly and the folks need. Not the other way around.

Let's be clear. Long needs the fans, the donors to continue supporting a football team that has shown us nothing in a long time, and a Basketball team that has done much the same.

APR up, GREAT
Funding up, GREAT
Facilities up, GREAT
WHERE ARE THE WINS!

I do believe they are on their way, but to keep going back to the cash cow over and over constantly without providing entertaining results will sooner or later bite the hand that feed that cash cow. And the foundation knows this, they are pulling out all stops to make sure the fans see some appreciation. Got a visit a few months back from one of their higher ups, took us out to dinner etc. never happened before.

Long needs to take stock and while continuing to place emphasis on the above, also place some seats in jeopardy if the winning doesn't come soon.

I disagree with the letter period. but I do understand the frustration from which it was written I am a Jeff Long fan, but a Hog fan first. Just Win baby!

The exclusive supplier contracts are short sighted business deals.

ANY business should have its main focus on delivering the best possible product and experience that they possibly can.

If JL is a businessman type of AD he's failing miserably at product quality and customer service.

Not giving fans options to purchase products that they enjoy and prefer is just bad fundamentals and it devalues the fan experience for many thousands of fans.

People now are more likely to spend concession dollars on their tailgate spreads and come into the stadium right at kick off and leave as early as possible if the game isn't down to the wire.

They are making it harder and harder for fans to want to come and invest their lives and all the work it takes to get to Fayetteville, prep, set up, go to game, tear down, pack up, head home. Blah blah blah.

The product quality on the field is the worst it's ever been. The fan experience is pretty predictable and vanilla like the offense. My apathy isn't rock bottom but I was doing a lot of drinking and chasing tail then. I barely drink now so I've been going through this streak stone sober. I may never recover from this season tbh.

And f$%K Jeff Long. BB team is shite. Football team is shite. I hate Pepsi. I would post a letter I sent when I gave up my season tickets, but I'd get banned...and I don't give a shite if some of the u want me to be. But the fans have supported the program and without shite to show for it.

Jeff Long does run it like a business. I do too. If I get a shite return on my investment, I ditch it. I'll still watch and support the team, but I've donated my last dime. Other reasons than our shitty records I might add. Facts are facts. He is running the shittiest overall program in the league and getting paid a ton to do it. Win or GTFO!!! That's just BUSINESS!!!

Arkansas is one of the most valuable football programs in the country, #12 to be exact. You have Jeff Long to thank for that.

No it isn't.

Some of us can remember sitting in the cold at RRS watching the Crowe/Ford years.

It would be a few thousand as that was all that showed up for those games....

I can't think of any major sporting venue that doesn't offer exclusive supplier contracts.

and it's not good business in the terms of service and options for customers.

Those venues also don't sell the actual products, they've leased out the space and rights to Sodexo or some other concessions vendor which gouge attendees.

We have laws on price fixing and gouging which don't seem to be enforced at sporting events or other entertainment events.

Greed is why the prices are ridiculous and greed is why attendance is waning nearly everywhere.

bullshite. Arkansas has always been in the upper tier as far as value goes. They're the only product in the state. No pro team or other major college. That mf'er hasn't done anything special. I believe we were up to number 7 not too long ago. That tells me we should be a perennial top 10-15 team. We are shite. A laughingstock. We are a punchline. Success=wins. We haven't won jack shite in his tenure. His fault? He's the boss.

No it doesn't.

Figure out the criteria of those rankings and you might understand what/how the rankings take place.

Only BCS Bowl, Only NCAAT win in the past 15 or so years, etc.

Michigan, Texas, Stanford, and others have lined up hat and hand and asked Jeff Long to come "ruin" their programs, yet he isn't good enough for little ole Arkansas.

The why is MORE money the always his answer to making us more competitive? frick him. The cash is there, the wins are not. If the value of the team is not a factor, why all the fundraisers? Win and the money will take care of itself.

I honestly believe some of our fans think that Long was hired on the day Petrino was fired.

We've won plenty of games in a lot of sports since Jeff has taken over

Some people think the entire athletic department revolves around them. They donate $1,000 and act like Arkansas should win national championships in every sport because of that donation.

You can post your letter and you won't be banned unless you are dropping racial or sexual insults, which I doubt you did that. I'm kinda curious. I truly believe that passionate debate can be productive.

On one hand I'm shocked that more people aren't up in arms about the conference record, but we have a pretty patient group. For the most part this group can agree to disagree and move on.

True... but, I give more than this and with those gifts over the years, the product I am getting in return isn't very beneficial to me via entertainment or tax benefit at this current time.

From personally speaking, I will still give for the time being. My seats keep improving while the product on the field isn't

Until the Razorbacks start winning a decent number of SEC football games, Jeff Long will catch flack.
