Fayetteville Recommendations for Traveling Tigers

First, thanks for the posting privileges.
Alright Hogs. Traveling up to Fayetteville. I have a strong feeling Bert will get his first conference win this Saturday night. That aside, what recommendations can you give concerning a restaurant for Friday night, preferably a steakhouse and/or Italian and close to campus? Price isn't a concern. Is there anything I should try to check out on game day? The band, player walk, etc.? Anything that is can't miss? What about the parking situation?
Looking forward to a great game with the possibility of a little snow. True football weather, IMO.
BTW, I've always believed that UA women are highly underrated. There seem to be an overabundance of blondes.
TIA.

Doe's on Dickson St. for your steak.
I've become a fan of Kosmos' Chicken Souvlaki. It's basically chicken skewers, with flat bread and rice or fries. It's on college and right next door to Slim's Chicken, which is also a decent spot and up and coming chain that started here. (neither are right next to campus though)
For Italian, next to campus, I'd hit up Geraldi's, there's a dive burger/BBQ place next to it that I love. Most of the places next to campus on 6th st. (MLK Dr.) are fast food chains.
However, the Infamous Columbia Mex (now Burrito Loco) is on that stretch next to a Tyson corporate office and around the corner from the Electric Cowboy.
Can't go wrong with Doe's though.
As for gameday, it'll probably too damn cold and the winter weather will keep people home during the afternoon and the tailgate scene will be thinner than normal (though it's not stellar to begin with since there's not much parking close to the stadium, everything is a bit of a walk.)

Vetro 1925 (Italian) was fabulous last time I went, but that was... three years ago, I think.

Vetro is still there. Can't say anything bad about the place. The people that run it are extremely nice and gracious hosts.

I'll read the reviews. Thanks. I think the Anthony Bourdain show on CNN might have covered the original restaurant recently on an episode about Mississippi.

Hawiian Brian's ftmfw
They have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their 3 meat dinner combo is legit as frick and only $20, it can easily feed two people. I can eat like no other when I want to, so I would kinda know. I made two meals out of it

Hawaiian Brian's doesn't compare to L&L on the west. Last but it's quite good.
I get the Portugese bean soup. Order it "hardy" and they hook it up.
Also another spot that's surpringly delish is Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

I'll weigh in on the Geraldi's vs. Vetro 1925.
Both are great, but know that there's a marked difference in atmosphere as well as food concept. Geraldi's is more of a traditional family italian. Amazing pizzas and high quality dishes all the way around. Atmosphere is pretty underwhelming. They do have really nice beer choices, though.
Vetro is much more of a fine dining experience. Food is a little more "high concept" than geraldi's. Atmosphere is also much more fine dining (a little annoyingly so in my opinion as I find the colored light boxes to be a little metro bachelor paddish).
Anyway, both are great.. just want you to understand the differences and choose the one appropriate.
Oh, and the Doe's on Dickson isn't really comparable to the original Doe's as covered by Bourdain. Same basic concept, but nowhere near the history.
I haven't tried their newly conceptualized menu, but Table on the Hill (formerly Table Mesa) has recently hired one of the most underrated chefs in town, Juan Barcenas.

Hawaiian Brian's will stuff you to the gills and for a fairly cheap price too.

I loved Wes' when I lived in Fayetteville.
I would go ahead and second Doe's for steak if you are looking to stay close to campus. Never had a bad experience there.

Bracenas is not underrated. His Mezza Luna was, he's always trumpeted as the chef that built Bordino's into a swank destination restaurant in a sea of mediocre.
