AUBURN PUTS 12 ON THE FIELD
One week after placing two No. 1 jerseys onto the field on the same play (and getting away with it), Auburn appeared to play a third-quarter snap with 12 players. Again, the Tigers weren’t flagged.
also has video of the treadwell play, the uf vs uga game and USC vs Tenn last squib kick.
Treadwell wasn't a horse collar but injuries from guys pulling a jersey and jumping on the legs of a beast ball carrier could keep happening. it is basically the same thing, the pull isn't hurting them it is the jumping on their legs while pulling. Perhaps the 80s short jerseys make a return to prevent these injuries on what appear to be clean tackles.

Your looking to fix a problem that isn't there. Look the injury was bad and I feel bad for any player that gets hurt but football is a rough game injuries happen. The only thing that would solve what your saying is a problem would be tear away jerseys.

it is pretty sad that a whole segment of questionable calls can be made from sec games.
Im assuming the play must not have really went anywhere and that drive must have stalled out since not much had been raised about it.

The Treadwell tackle was a clean tackle.

I've watched the replay of the game twice now. I counted all of our players on each play. I got 11 on every play, but two plays. We had 10 on defense twice. One led to a big play by Ole Miss. The other led to a touchdown.

I didn't say it wasn't a clean tackle. Also I don't think many players other than beast such as treadwell, Duke Williams, Buga and other just freakish strong monsters could stay up dragging someone like that.

they didn't do a good job of saying when that photo was taken other than it being in the third quarter.

They conveniently leave out the game time
Come on, HBT.

Sounds like the DC should learn to count.

The Treadwell play was clean, but he should have been down by contact on the 1. Not sure how the officials watched the replay for 5 minutes and didn't see that

Based on field position and down and distance, it looks like it resulted in an 11 yard Artis-Payne first down run from the touchdown drive that made the game 24-21 Ole Miss.

i put the link in the op, the only reason auburn was in the op was because it was the easiest part to post. Plus i know how defensive some aubbies get over any little thing.

It is even harder to miss 5 players in the backfield on offense than having 12 on the field...
How does an officiating crew miss 5 in the backfield.....?

So, you watched the original game and now have watched the replay of the game twice? And this is since last night? Advice --- get yourself another Boyfriend, the one you have now is not doing you any good

quote:I agree it was clean and within the rules. Im sure frost was doing anything he could to get a massive wr down and unfortunately just happened to land on his leg while pulling him back. I don't think many players in the sec would have actually been injured on that play because their aren't many that can pull people along like treadwell could.
