Another nice addition to a great class that still isn't finished
Also this years success is already showing up big time in the 2016 class as well

We've got more Power 5 OL offers among commits in this class than the last 5 combined I'm pretty sure... Not that any of that really means anything...

Thank you, MSU, and congrats.

By comparison, if Hevesey did what he did with Beckwith, I'm pretty sure he can get super saiyan 7 out of this kid.

Darryl said he saw the o-line demolishing Auburn and was pretty excited about being coached up.

You offered and the crystal ball had him 93% to AU.

He did not have an offer, hence why he's been waffling for the past ~2 months. The CB% reflects upon the fact that had he actually received a committable offer, he would have taken it. Martez Ivey and Jovon Patterson are the OL targets left for Auburn, and maybe the Nigerian kid who reclassified from the '16 class.
Same goes for FSU. They would not take his commitment.

Hundreds of kids get "offers" that aren't really being offered. It's how recruiting works now. Every big program does this.
The CB's are because he was likely to pick Auburn if we had given him a go ahead on committing but we never did.

He tried to commit to Auburn back in June and was told to hold off because he didn't have a spot in the class yet.

Can one more person come post the exact same thing again? TIA

We wouldn't let him commit back in June. Didn't have enough room in the class.

Cooled on him like every other commit you miss on? I'm guessing when you don't get Daron Payne or Javon Patterson you will have 'cooled' on them too.

You must be new to recruiting

There was never anything to cool on. When he started "emerging" Auburn already had three linemen committed and were on the verge of landing Carr, who wound up committing shortly after. Carr, Harrell, and Kim are all interior linemen. There was simply no room for Williams, hence him not holding an actual committable offer from Auburn at any point in time.
If you want to delude yourself into thinking that he had committable offers to FSU and Auburn then go right ahead. Just because a recruiting website lists a check-mark under "Offer", doesn't mean that the kid actually had the option of committing there. Williams set a commitment announcement at his school in late June and then abruptly canceled it later in that same day without giving a reason. You want to guess what happened?
"Hey coach, I just set a commitment ceremony at my school...I'm committing to Auburn".
"Sorry, we're not ready to accept your commitment at this time".
And did you seriously just compare a high 3-star/low 4-star recruit to two ~Top 50-75 national recruits?

Sure did, number 7 center and alread 6'4" 304 lbs. Maybe if your staff could evaluate talent you wouldn't be in the passenger seat in the West this year?
