Another problem would be a potential rematch. If UGA is in, who wants to see them play a small market team they already beat? MSU is certainly deserving, but it's tougher.
But what about UGA and Auburn/Alabama? The rematch is there if it is Auburn, but that's not as difficult with a few games separation, especially if AU-UGA was a great game. But I have to think the Committee would find having both UGA and Alabama/Auburn in the playoff to be very attractive, when compared with Baylor or someone similar.

Playoffs have rematches all the time. I've never understood the "anti-rematch" vibe. Sure, in 2011 there was some reason to not like it, but if you're going to use the term "playoff" you have to disregard the idea of rematches.
