I'm happy with the win...know this before I get trolled into oblivion...I am happy to get out of this game with the 'W'....but what happened in the second half?

Why did the offense get so damn conservative? Why did our defense suddenly forget to cover the tight end? I mean...it went from full on boner to soft and receding between the first and second halves...what the frick happened?

My personal opinion is the lack of offensive production (starting with that missed 4th down conversion, kept the d on the field almost the entire second half...it was scary that that got back with in 2 TD's after being decimated so badly. We have got to finish better going forward.

It's a teachable moment. Can't let up, but fortunately we were up by so much that it didn't hurt us. It helps to have something like that happen to keep guys' focus in the bye week.

I told the wife when UGA started the second half you could see they had took there foot off the gas. It was like ok we already got this lets not run up the score. That is CMR football

We were up big and got conservative. We were able to kill the last few minutes with multiple first downs at the end. Pruitt tightened up after the third too.

It's not all on the play calling, there were some missed opportunities by our players, but there were definitely times where I feel like we were way, way too conservative. They had 9 in the box on occasion and we still ran a dive or ISO right into the teeth of it. There are times when, mathematically, you're flat out beat up front and you need to give your 5th year senior the opportunity to check out of that play. A PA pass with Hicks slipping into the flats would have likely resulted in at least 8 yards instead of the inches that Chubb gave us on those plays. All those 3 and outs killed our pass rush in the 2nd half because everyone on D was gassed.

I'm still real proud of guys for picking up a W on the road against a much improved Arkansas team. They all played tough today and I liked our coaches play calling for the most part. I'm not trying to bitch about it, there were just a handful of plays where they knew what was coming and killed us.

It was frustrating for sure; I was getting pissed off thinking that the Hogs were going to come back an win the game. But as others have stated, the conservative play calling made sense with us up by so much in the first half.

Aggressive offense has more potential for scoring but it comes with higher risk. We simply mitigated our risk in the 2nd half and it worked because we did not turn the ball over giving them additional opportunities to get back in the game.

St. Richt called off the dawgs...literally...we came out vanilla on O and backed into a zone on D...he knew we would hang 50+ on them if we kept going like we were and he wont do that...he is too nice...we didn't just stop dominating cause they adjusted so well...we basically gave them a moral victory and let them back into the game...i love CMR but it was very obvious that he wanted to slow the bleed and not crush their spirits cause thats not "the right thing to do"

meanwhile, saban ran the score up....just sayin'
