What the heck, Aggies roll and the offense looks like world beaters.

We have 2 common opponents and played incredibly similar games against both. Bama was on the road for both and we were home/neutral. And Bama will be home in this game. But I'm really not sure they are that much better than us.

But tbh, I'm not sure our psyche is there. We desperately need a fast start to gain confidence.

Alabama got dominated from start to finish against Ole Miss? I must have watched a much different game.

I boldly stated we would probably get our arses kicked if we didn't play a perfect game...

Bama did get a gift right before the half on the defensive TD that was the result of a facemask penalty not being called on Bama.

If you remove that, then we're looking at a pretty weak first half for Bama against Ole Miss (1 TD). Then in the second half they were held to 1 FG.

Honestly Bama's offense struggled mightily. They only scored 10 points all game and barely moved the ball. Defensively the two games are remarkably similar

OM Offense Vs Bama
16 First Downs, 323 yards, 23 points

OM Offense vs A&M
17 First Downs, 338 yards, 21 points

You know what's scary, I typed that from memory and then went and looked it up. I got every number right. I'm some kind of idiot savant

Agreed.

Their offense cannot move the ball. It is very predictable. Their run game won't win them games with the current staff they have at offensive line, so they have to balance the offense out, which they have not really been able to do against decent competition.

Our defense will be able to keep up with them.

As far as their defense, it is quality, but they have shown their biggest weakness is our style of offense.

If there was a top team I thought we could beat it would be Bama.

We definitely match up way better with them than Auburn. I don't necessarily think we will win but I think it will be closer than the last two weeks

All right, I'm done melting for the Old Mississippi Admiral Black Bear Racist Rebels game.

Having said that, I'm confident that our defense will be able to keep us in the game, but it will be up to our offense and Kenny Hill to not just move the ball, but score points. At this point, I give the Ags 40% chance of winning with the way both teams are playing. Hopefully Spavital is working on some running plays to help our limited deep ball game. Maybe a little spread option?

I'm pretty sure when you watch games you are watching 100 feet away through the rusty, grimy screen window, trees, and bushes that the redneck witness from My Cousin Vinny was looking out of when he id'ed Daniel-san as a killer.

While the matchup is worse, I'll just point out vs MSU in back to back weeks. Both games at home. Both blowouts

MSU vs Aub: +28 yards
MSU vs A&M: +33 yards

And honestly, Dak was no where near as sharp vs Auburn as he made 2 really bad decisions that became INTs and Merlins went crazy up 21-0 in the 2nd and tried a fake punt at his own 25. MSU turned it over on 4 straight possessions in the 2Q and it was still 28-13 at the half.

I know everyone points to Bama and Auburn, but we've already played the best two teams in the West. What it says on the front of the jersey doesn't matter and frankly, neither AL school has faired much better vs the MS schools than we have.

I think we matchup better with Alabama too. They don't run the spread option, so that immediately helps right there. Sims has been somewhat inconsistent too. But our offense has to do its part because they're way too talented at the other skill positions on offense to keep them down. It's going to have to be a 2012 effort all over again. And Arkansas gave them fits, so why can't us?

If we beat one of the Alabama schools, my money is on it being Bama.
