This thing was bigger than Gurley

Yes please someone explain what they know on the TG3 situation I've been reading all over the internet for days now!!!
Posted on 10/13/14 at 9:52 pm to Peter Buck
Georgia telling FSU and others that if they were going down so was everyone else?
Posted on 10/13/14 at 9:52 pm to GeorgiaDawgs1119
TG3?...how many Gurleys do we have?..

I interpreted it as Georgia telling the NCAA that they were going to take some action (sue Allen?) that would expose more players and create a huge mess for the NCAA

If Gurley plays this Saturday, the key was shelling out the coin to get an outside, experienced, kick-arse private law firm to deal with this shite.

Yea that's the same way I read it. I'm sure a lot of stuff the NCAA doesn't want seeing the light of day would come out in court. And they're already losing so much ground in the PR department, a widespread "scandal" such as this affecting several top players/programs would be a disaster. Combine that with their excellent PR skills to begin with and they'd be up shite creek.

My take is that a legal case would expose so much that they will give him time served and then redraw the rules a tad in the offseason and call it a day.

Kinda meant the same thing without eloquently explaining it. I figured they were gonna expose everyone. Idk, I am off my game tonight

It kind of makes sense given the timing of FSU looking into the Winston signatures that UGA may have told them, "hey, yall might want to look into this because this might get ugly."

TG3 = Todd Gurley #3
I know he's actually TGII
but TG3 sounds better!

Is the reason FSU doesn't have to suspend Winston pending an investigation because there hasn't been a public accusation of him receiving money for the autographs?
I doubt he signed all those consecutive helmets, footballs, photos, and baseballs out of the goodness of his heart But without evidence it'd also be BS to sit him

That is exactly the way I read it, note the phrase read it, I have no knowledge. But they sure as hell don't want all the talking heads dragging up Manziel, Cam, Winston (for the 4th time), compare to the felons in the NFL, Gurly jerseys selling for $140 a throw, etc, etc, etc.
It would be PR suicide if the don't let this ride.
Do you want one of your premier showcases (Heisman) be taken off track on this crap?
Don't think.

UGA honestly is in a pretty great spot.
Guy on another board that lived a few miles from Bryan Allen said he's left the state. He also said (being that VR is a small town I can believe this) that he knew some folks at BA's place of employment and they said he no longer works there. So this dude is in the wind.
Which I would take to mean he's not talking to anybody. If he's not talking to the NCAA or anybody, we're golden. All the NCAA has to go on is whatever we've reported. Which hopefully is $400 or less. Allen probably realizes with the headlines that are coming out now that if he does talk to the NCAA, there are so many others that "could" be implicated and I don't think he wants his name in the news any more than it already is.
My HOPE, I stress HOPE, is that Allen has basically said "I want this to be done, I'm not saying anything to anyone", the NCAA doesn't have shite, and Gurley is back this weekend.

I just can't fathom what what hell he thought would come of turning in Gurley besides getting him suspended against his precious Gators. He said he wanted to recoup some of his money. How was he going to do that.
