They won us the game and nearly lost it.

JK Scott's punting and the block XP were huge

Front 7 played their guts out, secondary got it locked down in the 4th and the punter is an All-American. Our running backs are probably good but behind that pathetic excuse for an offensive line you'll never know it. Receivers and QB irrelevant because of afore mentioned offensive line. I know we were missing a guy but that was an average line that whipped their tail for about 60 minutes. I feel like all we did was postpone the obvious but I guess I'll take any win. Sim's isn't good enough to overcome a non existent running game though we kind of knew that and frankly most QB's can't overcome not having a run game.

WTH has happened to Kiffin? He goes from being the best OC we've had to one of the worst in the last 2 games. He refuses to run behind the strongest part of our line. He ran a reverse on a first down of a critical drive with an injured Amari Cooper that instantly killed said drive. He calls a QB sneak behind an O-line that has gotten zero push all game (granted Sims has to lower his shoulder there even though I don't think it would've mattered). About the only play call tonight that I would say was "good" was the OJ Howard playcall in the first half. His second best playcall was when he finally decided to run it left later in the 2nd half.

I think missing some key players is obviously affecting our offense.

Punting is probably an A+, everything else is an F except the return game which was far worse than any mutant combination of Ebola and AIDS. That was a damn miracle that we won. Probably the worst game we've ever played under Saban, ULM and any other shite from 2007 included. This team needs to find some fight and some energy real, real quick.

1. Two contradictory statements. Not sure we have any part of our line which deserves to be called "strongest."
2. Kiffin didn't call the sneak.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that our coaching was excellent tonite, but I can't give it an F, because that would ignore the job we did defensively. I can't say Smart gets an F. Can't fault some of the blitzes earlier, nor the decision to basically rush four late.

1. The left side is the "strongEST". Neither side is "strong". No contradiction.

2. Now that it's common knowledge, I take back putting the blame on him for THAT play, which was horrible. He still had a terrible play calling day regardless...

Run behind the strongest part of the line...that's gotten zero push.

OK.

Arkansas is a very much improved team with some playmakers. They are hungry for a big win and have played lights out in their games this year. They made some huge mistakes in those games to let them slip away. They were playing at home with 2 weeks to prepare to make a statement. Yes, we played pourly, but those players and coaches deserve much more credit than they are getting. I just hope this was even more of an eye opener than the game at Ole Miss last week.

You're struggling with the difference between "strong" and "strongest". "Strongest" doesn't always imply that one side of the line is "strong" it just means that the other side is weaker. The side with Cam Robinson (he actually does fit that definition of a "strong" lineman) is clearly the side we should be running the ball to. We had maybe 3 runs to that side all game...
