You're still a kid at the age of 19. You might be a legal adult but you aren't even old enough to drink and, in some instances, shave.
Yup. Not to mention the fact that you're still a few years away from your brain developing the executive functions (e.g. decision making abilities, and impulse controls) that adults have. An adult 'brain' where we have maturity in those aspects is right around 25 years old which is why college kids act like kids a lot of the time despite being mature in other ways.

Okay. And? You can still be considered a kid and serve in the military. I was in boot camp with a lot of kids last year and am currently stationed with quite a few of them.

I work with plenty of old people (40's and up, dwi) that make dumber decisions than most 19 year olds.

Then they can't blame it on brain development now can they. A 19 year old doesn't have an adult brain - that's just biology.

That guy looks scared out of his mind. Let's all take a break and remember how posting stupid shite on the internet can impact our lives.
He's a felon for life now.

but at least he earned his Bama bangs first! I have exactly zero sympathy for him. However, he looks well enough off that he will likely get off with some first offender BS. I mean, hell, one of your football players ACTUALLY terrorized fellow students and was sentenced to JUCO football for a fall semester. That is some tough sentencing in ole Alabama.

I take it back. He's not a kid - he's a fricking child.

he's gonna have a blast in prison.

I think making a terroristic threat needs to be weighed against the possibility that the person could actually carry through. Example - if a trained soldier or cop says he's going take someone out, that's more serious than the same threat from a 16 year old kid who has never fired a weapon.

This specifically says this kid is not directly related to the initial terrorist threat from Sept 21st.

What was the original threat and where did it originate? I've read a few articles and haven't seen anything other than vague references.

This is not the main dude. This is just the guy that took advantage of the panic.

We're criminalizing stupidity in the name of terrorism and downplaying terrorism in the name of multiculturalism.
