I think CAP is a hard nosed running back, but this offense needs a shiftier back in it, think "Tre" last year.. If UGA can play freshman when they have a beast as their starter, why can't we? It is frustrating..

When JJ threw the ball, lanes opened up for CAP. No one is going to put up yards when they stack the box.

Really can't figure this one out either. Would like to see Barber get some more meaningful carries

Some truth to that, but that was also at the end of the game when they had to be worn out. I am getting close to thinking we are a better team with JJ though. If we can't run with Marshal we are really fricked..

Barber is very good at putting his foot down, making the cut and going. CAP hesitates a tad and loses forward momentum. With the box stacked I believe PB could be what the Dr. ordered.

And this whole fake the sweep, fake the statue of liberty, and then try to throw has been played out I think!

If you know football like you seem to, why in the hell would you want to play these guys now? Its not like we have had good times to play Jeremy.

We are not a 2 QB team. IT would hurt what little chemistry we have to mix JJ in there more.

Id like to see Barber run the ball late but Cap has been fine.

What we need to do is to fine tune our starters. Not reinvent the wheel.

We have a good change to be one of the final 4 teams. It is not time to start experimenting

Totally agree. And I'm not worried about us doing it either. Gus isn't that dumb and I would not be surprised if we do not see JJ at all against LSU. I think JJ is good and all, but Nick is our guy and you frick up what little cohesion we have on offense entirely when you confuse the entire O with two completely different QBs playing.

I like CAP and he runs super hard. However I do think both Barber and Roc have more upside and would probably be more effective if they were getting the majority of the carries. That is just conjecture though as it is impossible to really evaluate Roc and Barber getting late carries with JJ more of a passing threat against defenses that are already beat up and beaten.

Totally agree this is no time to start experimenting. Right now we just have to get better each week starting now. IMO we are a 3-4 loss team against our remaining schedule as we stand right now. We have the potential to beat anyone and everyone, but it is going to have to be like last year where we REALLY start to get better EVERY single week. And probably win a couple of toss-ups in the final minute of a game or two if we want to get back to Atl.

Kansas State didnt stack the box. Neither did La Tech a lot of the time. CAP still doesnt have the YAC that Mason had. The O Line is missing Kozan big time. Diamond and Miller being hurt/out also doesnt help. We're going to have to do some different things to get the ball out in space.
