October 1, 2011 was a day to remember in this rivalry.

Texas A&M had a lot of hopes coming into the year, with returners on both sides of the ball and coming off a 9-4 season. After getting as high as #8 in the polls, they choked away a home game against Oklahoma State for the first loss of the year. They came into Cowboys Stadium looking to rebound.

A&M started fast and led 35-17 at halftime, and looked to have the game in the bag. But the Aggies only managed 3 points in the 2nd half and lost 42-38. This sent Texas A&M reeling onto a letdown 6-6 season. It also foreshadowed Ryan Tannehill's future NFL prospects, as he has played poorly in the NFL in his 2+ years, just like he did in the 2nd half of this game. Definately hasn't lived up to the hype of the No. 8 overall pick.

Anyway, just another great moment in Arkansas-A&M history.

Can't wait for this game on Saturday. I really do think we run for 300+ yards. Collins can get to 200. We shouldn't throw a pass unless we have to. Wear A&M out and we will grind out a win.

You can't claim this game as the start of our downward spiral that year. OSU did that.

Goldennugget, isn't your real team playing for the iron skillet this weekend? So stop aggsessing and go celebrate, because it's the only trophy TCU is going to win this year.

Saw the title -- thought you were going to post about 58-10. You know, that little game that followed a year later, was the largest winning margin, highest score posted in the 102 year history of the series, etc...

goldennugget's favorite team of the week is 0-4 against A&M this year.
