On what basis does anyone think A&M has a chance tomorrow?

IMO, the only explanations are as follows:

1. You're an A&M fan and strongly believe in the team, players, and program, kind of like parents believe in their kids and don't pay attention to the outside. Maybe you work with them, grew up with someone on the team, know them from town or church.

2. Random probability propels A&M to victory and the lesser team happens to come out with the win on that given night--basically crazy shite happens in sports sometimes. Anything is possible so why not us?

What else gives A&M hope they will win?

Two words: Season opener

Anything can happen. (These words don't count towards the number of words)

Haven't you heard, they've taken the SEC by storm! A big road win would be par for the course for the program that came in and rocked the conference by taking third and fourth in the west already!

First game unknowns. A&M should be able to score and the thought is that the defense can't get worse. Hope for a shoot out and Thompson to make mistakes.

1. Sumlin coaches high scoring teams. If the ags can score 38+, they have a decent chance
2. USCe almost always starts the season sluggish
3. The offensive talent outmatched the opposing defensive talent; we are not exactly facing 2012 Florida
4. Sumlin generally does well on the road
I still think we lose, but here some reasons

Anyone that thinks TAMU doesnt have the talent to win this game is a hater.

That being said, USCe at home, with that running game, on paper, should control the game. But I wouldnt be surprised if TAMU hits some big plays to keep it respectable.

A chance? Spurrier loses a game he shouldn't every year at Carolina.

Ags are doing to get slaughtered.

It's going to be a painful season for them.

great points.

I am giving our tickets away and we are in process of changing flights so we can go back to Texas today. No need to stick around Columbia for this.

Now thinking we might want to hop on the Arkansas bandwagon where we at least have some hope.

I honestly think USCe is vastly overrated.

While they may win, its gonna be close.

Frick A&M but they have a realistic shot at this game. Carolina should be a good team but hardly unbeatable.

An offense like tamu is always a recipe for an upset if the other team makes mistakes. If spurrier falls in love with the pass and doesn't pound the rock to control the clock, tamu has a great chance. If south cackalacky turns the ball over and is forced to go away from the run, then that allows tamu a good chance

This is off topic, but A&M fans have to finally be realizing they do not have the loudest, most incredible stadium in the entire world. When Florida played I can not tell you how many of their fans said "Man, isn't this just the loudest most incredible stadium you've ever been to?" Hopefully they've figured out by now that Bama, LSU, Auburn, and tomorrow night they'll realize South Carolina are all louder and better home field advantages than the 12th Man. (And whenever they play in the Swamp, they'll realize it's better than A&M too) Carolina wins by double digits.
