I would love to be around when you finally realize that you are essentially Harvey Updyke in orange and blue.

Harvey is the GOAT Bama fan

I am sorry Tuscaloosa but you are taking the context of "every man is his own island". I apologize but you are incorrect. It was national news that a Alabama fan destroyed a school tradition. This was a PR nightmare for UA. Saban even addressed it trying to distance the program from it.
I think that you are trying to make this as a point for you to stand up as a "I don't care what people think of me" moment and it is pretty absurd. If this is actually how you carry out your life then you will have a very hard life. I am not saying that in a anti bama way.

I am sorry but having someone as disgusting as him being the face of helping such a serious charity is not right. Have the Tide for toomers and toomers for Tuscaloosa organize it and get a known coach from each side in the tank.
THAT is how a fundraiser should be run. They are injecting hate into what is a very good charity and should be ashamed. He is the epitome of what is wrong when people take this rivalry too far. It should be denounced, not celebrated.

Not surprising coming from the school that has to stop everything and celebrate a handful of black women finally getting sorority bids. Well done mullets

I completely agree.
Lots of people put up a politically correct "Oh no, let me pretend to be sorry about this" facade... Even guilted $40,000+ out of people, but deep down - everyone was glad it happened.

I actually thought it was a good idea even if it was trolling.
I wasn't trying to troll really, just bring a bit of wit to the thread.
Seriously, there's more poison and venom here than one cares to deal with.

Bro I just got here. He's the face of your program, we just talk about him for sport.

I'm guessing it would get a much bigger turnout if it was poisoned water he was getting dunked in...

Then we got rocked by the killer tornado.
Chickens always come home to roost.
Let's just be positive and support Alabama.

Well these things had absolutely nothing to do with each other.

That's to be expected on a sports board with passionate fans. But does the fact that Updyke is doing this charity event mean feelings are not as strong among "normal" fans? Particularly if many AU fans dunk him, and hit him with pies while laughing and a good time is had by all?

Man, I'm just saying being happy about other's misfortune can't bring about good.
I survived the tornado and I would be very upset if Auburn was making fun about me losing my home.
I know Auburn's trees don't come close to our tornado, I'm just saying we should treat people with respect.
